It's pops corn fast, and cleanly. *thumbs up*
**Writing this while eating a bowl of popcorn**I have used this machine about a dozen times, and so far, it works great for me. It's quick- pops within 1-2 minutes, and produces light and fluffy popcorn.Though, It has a few quirks.Yes, kernels can fly out well before they pop. To combat this, I simply tilt the machine back SLIGHTLY to cause the kernels to fall backwards, instead of being forced out the exit. I do this until the I hear the kernels start to pop, then I set it flat.Yes, it does not have a switch. As soon as you plug it in, it's on. As long as you remember, and you prepare, it's not an issue. Easy fix- get a plug switch adapter. They're fairly inexpensive, and you can find them on this site.Lastly, the top (the shoot/exit) is plastic, and it gets hot! (Understandably) Be cautious when taking the top off. Again, as long as you are aware, it's not an issue.I do not use the butter scoop/warmer, so I cannot comment on that part. I spray with oil, if I do feel like using butter, I will melt on the stove separately- that's just my preference.Overall, I'm very happy with this product. It's pops corn fast, and cleanly, for a quick snack. The price wasn't bad either. I recommend. *thumbs up*

awesome when used correctly - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!
I use this at least once a day! it's easy to use and even easier to clean up. you MUST read the instructions!!!seriously, it's not that hard people.Put a full scoop, level it with a knife or finger, and dump the kernels inside - if you put too little or too much, it does NOT pop correctly. If you don't take 10 to 15 minutes for it to cool down in between batches - that is where you get the warping of the lid and scoop cup! I wouldn't use it with a busted outlet or anything like that - it is a polarized plug. The lid gets hot, obviously, and I wouldn't bother getting the kernels out of the bottom, until after it's cooled down. If you take off the lid, just after it's done, and leave it off too long - as it cools, it can warp.Plain and simple - if you can't read instructions or want to use it non-stop, don't buy this. To everyone else, I absolutely recommend this! The popcorn doesn't burn, it pops most of the kernels (depending on their freshness and quality - yes, it matters 100%).

Good popcorn popper
I really loved my Bella air popper, which I think was decades old before it finally blew. They don't make them any more - and any out on the market are not available from a necessarily trusted source. This popper received mixed reviews - primarily due to un-popped kernels being thrown out during the first phase of heating. However, I've found a way to deal with it and really like this popper. Read on and you will note why I give it 4 rather than 5 stars.PROS: pops about 98-99% of the kernels and does it fairly quickly. Follow the instructions about measuring and it does a great job, and looks sleek and modern.CONS: at the start, when the un-popped kernels are being heated, they are thrown upward at a relatively high force and often some will shoot out of the opening. REMEDY: during this phase, I tilt the popper back about 15-20 degrees (holding it or propping it on something heat resistant) and the un-popped kernels do not shoot out. I always monitor my popper anyway for safety, so this is not an inconvenience for me. Once the kernels start popping steadily, I stop tilting the popper.Only once did popped popcorn jam in the opening, remedied by poking at it to loosen the jam and release the popped corn. It hasn't jammed since.

Why did I wait so long to get an air popper?
Healthy snacks in minutes! Looks cute. Works just as it should. Light, fluffy, very few unpopped kernals. Just wish the butter container wasn't plastic! Metal or glass would be better. Super quick and easy to use. Zero cleanup if you don't use the butter container. No big deal that theres no on/off switch. Good price.

Perfect Popper
We love air popped popcorn with fresh melted butter and salt! No microwave popcorn could compare plus why eat all the additives. Easy to use and great price. Very few unpopped kernels. We love our air popper!

Works like you would expect.
Ok. So this is a typical hotair popcorn popper. A lot of hot air. Literally!Pros: pretty much instantaneous heat, and air volume. Measuring cup doubles as butter melter that sits and stores in the top of the popper. Easy clean up of the unit. If you melt butter in the measuring cup, that has to be washed with soap and water. The unit itself is just a wipe down. It pops the corn as you would expect.Cons: there is no on/off switch. You have to physically unplug it, This is inconvenient and could be hazardous reaching around the popper that just got very warm whie popping corn. The cord is not very long. The upper discharge chute is too wide for my liking. If you use a large bowl, at least 12 inches wide it is fine, but for single servings for (that it why I bought this) if yo use a smaller bowl, it shoots the popped corn off the sides of the bowl and onto the counter. The other thing I noticed, is that the air velocity is strong. Good and bad. With adding the unpopped kernals into the heat chamber, it will actually blow a few unpopped kernals out into your bowl or on the countertop. This also happens during th popping process, which cannot be avoided in a hot air popper. So when people say it popped everything, perhaps they mean it popped everything that remained in the heat chamber. Is it right for you? If you have an open countertop with room to easily reach the outlet to plug and unplug theunit and use a large bowl, then maybe. It is reasonably priced and pops popcorn.
