Lobster Johnson Volume 6: A Chain Forged in Life

Nice art and mostly intriguing stories with rushed endings
I've read a number of these Lobster Johnson books by now. The present represents several one-shots now put together in a tradepaperback format. While the art ist quite excellent for all stories, I am somewhat left cold by the writing, especially by what feels to me like rushed endings. The cases are wrapped up in a couple or three pages and it seems all a bit too neat, I should think. In my opinion, a single chapter story isn't the format for the Lobster, but a multi-part caper suits him a lot better. A brief sketchbook section makes up the last pages of the book, showcasing some development work. Nothing too in-depth as we're used to from previous books of the Lobster (or even Hellboy and the B.P.R.D).

Another fantastic Lobster volume classic Pulp works with a nice twist
Another fantastic Lobster volume classic Pulp works with a nice twist. I hope they keep these coming. The art by Tony Fejzula in the Glass Mantis is outstanding.
