This works as expected
This works as expected, great video quality and priced competitively, I couldn't afford the brand name competitors at the time. I got one for my boyfriend too, we're very happy with this product!

Works perfectly with OBS
Great, no-fuss way to capture HD sources. Hardware side is easy: just plug dongle into USB port on PC/laptop and then connect an HD source via HDMI cable. The PC will detect card and then you turn to the software side. I used OBS to monitor the signal and do the recording. That was more complicated as there's not much documentation on what you need to do. After a bit of digging, I found you need to add the card as a "video capture device" to transfer the video signal and then also add a "Mic" channel as well to OBS to get the audio. If that goes well, you should see the audio levels graph change with the sound. Once you see the source video and hear audio in OBS, you're good to go: just press "start recording" and the card will capture high-fidelity 1080P video and multichannel audio for as long as you want. It's much better and easier to use than a dedicated Hauppauge HDPVR2 box. Five stars for me.
