Was very disappointed. Came with a Defective Carriage and Dings & scratches all over it. The box it was delivered in had holes in it. When I opened it the plastic bubble wrap also had slits in it as if it was used & they repackaged it. Easels can be very dangerous, in particular this one when the carriage is broken. The one I received does not exactly match the item in the advertising photo & it seems as if they used the cheapest wood possible with cracks on the sides.

I looked a long time for a large easel and this one is wonderful. It’s beautiful in my studio and is a pleasure to use.

I have had this easel less than a year, just over 6 months. The inner H frame is warped and does not stay in the track. It does glide up and down but does not operate as it should. It was an annoying problem at first, but became progressively worse with use. The right side of the inner H frame fits extremely tight and the L side of the inner H frame is not in the track, it pushes forward out of the groove. The Jack Richeson Company has been no help in finding a solution, so I am seeking help from the seller.

Easy assembly, incredible quality and craftsmanship, sturdy and elegant. These easels are compact, yet extend nearly to the top of my 11’ ceilings! I often work with 72”+ canvases and these counterbalance easels are a dream. Yet, the compact design is great for smaller canvases too, and doesn’t overwhelm my studio. They are pricey, but it’s money we’ll spent.

Superior quality professional easel. It was packed very well. Arrived on time with clear instructions. Partially assembled so setting it up was a breeze. Excellent way to move large and small canvases up and down without struggling with the easel. This one will serve me well for decades. Totally worth it! Thank you!

I ordered this in February for a new studio. Due to COVID, the studio completion was delayed until June 1. I opened the box today, June 2, and the easel is severely defective with splintered and missing wood. Since it is past the time to return it, I have a very expensive easel that I cannot use. It never occurred to me that it would arrive in such a defective state. Buyer beware and look elsewhere!

Light weight? This bohemouth weighs 93 pounds but rolls around like a breeze. With the counterweights, raising and lowering your painting can be done with one finger. Assembly was well engineered. Everything fit smoothly. They provided a video demonstrating the assembly which really helped. The 30x30 footprint allowed me to assemble in my livingroom and roll it down the hall to my studio. My only upgrade will be for the wheels. They are plastic and I want rubber/poly wheels. It is expensive, but I view this as a lifetime investment, something that will stay in family for generations. Buy it if you can afford it. I am very happy with this purchase.
