Not perfect but better than I expected, love it
After ages of thinking about it but not getting one as I expected robot vacuums to be over hyped I finally plumped for this one when it was on offer for just over £150 in Jan. Now it's April I thought I'd had it long enough to review Sid......yes I've named him!First up Sid can mop or hoover but he can't do both at same time, when you want to mop swop the dust collector box for the water one. It's easy, takes seconds, but be aware the mop is more of a wiper, as in it'll do light mopping duties fine but don't expect too much of it.The vacuum part is pretty faultless, Sids suction is impressive, matching a traditional vacuum when left to it. The dustbox is easy to empty & clean, first few times you use it empty it after every use- Sid gets into places most vacuums don't get to like under sofas, cupboards, TV units etc & I couldn't believe how much he found under there- but there are some places Sid can't get to. Places smaller than his width & stairs is pretty much his limits, ideally using Sid most of the week & using a traditional vacuum once or twice a week would give the best results. It stops at the top of the stairs, Sids not fell down them once (yet!). It automatically increases suction power (& noise) when on carpets & decreases for hard floors. You can adjust the power on your remote or on the app if you want tho. Noise level is way quieter than a traditional vacuum & it's less high pitched so possibly less annoying for our four legged friends.Cleaning schedule is handy, I set it for just before I get home. I don't think room mapping is available on this model, I've not found it, but the app works fine & the remote has all you really need anyway- tho even if you don't have your phone or the remote on you there's basic buttons (go/stop vacuum & go home) on top of Sid.Beware laces, wires (charging leads especially) or anything else like that, Sid loves them!Sids home (charging base) is under the TV unit, he has a few inches either side of it clear & finds it no problem. I would advise attaching it as Sid will knock it if not & then he won't go home.Is Sid intelligent? Well it depends how you measure it, sometimes he's pretty stupid & he'll literally bump his way around like a drunkard trying to get to bed other times it's fascinating to watch how he gets about stopping & navigating his way expertly.Overall I'm very happy with Sid, & I would recommend him.

Works for the most part- not so smart as expected
Pros- Good suction power, cleans the fine dust/hair/dead skin which I didn't even see before, It's amazing to see the amount of the dust that gathers within a day even while the house looks clean already, Mobile app integration wasn't difficult and the remote control works fine.Issues- My biggest red flag was when the manufacturer sent a mail asking me to extend the warranty and to register the device, they won't let me proceed without a screen shot of the Amazon review and a good rating!! That's not acceptable as the warranty and registration should not have anything to do with what I rate them here!!The bot is not that smart- works fine within once confined room, however a change of room makes it go crazy. The bot then cleans the same area multiple times while ignoring the rest of the room unless I manually move it the corners. One month after purchase, the mop function has lost it's teeth. The fella has become lazy and circles in the same place with the mop on, but is happy to work with just the vacuum.Gets stuck on the carpets often and requires me to monitor and change directions at time.Overall, this product helps in one way as I don't have to vacuum or mop (not anymore) the house manually. However it still requires a lot of coaching, guidance, directions to function efficiently- not a great learner and bottom of the class.Edit - excellent customer service and lot of the issues got sorted when the team contacted me after seeing the average rating. Revising the overall rating now.

Does what it's supposed to
I was dubious about the claims made about this little hoover but needed a better solution other than hire a cleaner now that I struggle to move the big hoover around, so I took a gamble, I'm not disappointed but.....The hoover comes with extra brushes and filter in the box so that's good, the brush really does lift the pile of the carpet the suction is enough to keep on top of two labradors casting, I just need to empty it every second day, and clean the brush roller once a week, easy to access not a difficult job to do, and the filter is easy to access and clean, but...... It cannot compare to my upright shark hoover. While it does keep on top of things the standard upright does do a better job of doing a deeper clean, it does get confused sometimes missing rooms altogether and doing the same room twice over, this is when the remote control comes in handy, it can also get confused trying to find the base station, again the remote control comes in useful to help it along, battery life is ok, I use it on full suction every day and it can do 3 rooms and the hallway twice over before it toddles off back to it's charger, so it can run around an hour on a full charge at full suction, when it doesn't get confused or lost. The app is ok I can set the hoover to auto clean from the comfort of my couch, but it does not remember the rooms, which it remaps every time, on the upside because it needs to remap every time, essentially cleaning the space in-between wall/barrier points if you have moved a bit of furniture it can navigate this, also you can see with the app where it has cleaned and where it has not. It does go from hard floor to carpet with ease but the brushes can on occasion lift the edge of the rug essentially telling it there is a barrier there so it turns around, other times it transition's from hard floor to rug and carpet without any problems. The pathetic amount of magnetic strip you get to prevent it from going where you don't want it to is difficult to straighten out, also it does not always work, the hoover has ignored it more than once, physical barrier works best.I did link it to Google home but it doesn't really work that well, so I just use the phone app from the app store. The spot clean function is good for any stubborn bit of hair or fluff, again using the remote to control this, but I don't think the suction claimed in the listing is what matched the box when it came.In all its an ok little hoover to keep on top of things, but does not compare to standard vaccums, look for it on sale before you buy, it does the job albeit with a little help sometimes.
