So many answers, so many more questions
The struggles, the increases in power, the blooming of relationships, the mysteries solved for only more mysteries to show their heads just above the water. I am super excited to read the next book. The writing is stronger than ever. And even with a few grammatical errors, it does not take away from my enjoyment of this book.

Another wonderful addition
Let me start off by saying I rarely ever buy a book if I can get it on Kindle Unlimited but I did in fact buy this book. I did it because this series(Along with Rise to Omniscience and I'm sure the other series written by Aaron Oster) is absolutely incredible. I love reading about Roy, the sovereigns, the personal and overarching conflict, all of it. I was counting the days until I could read this one and now I'll be counting the days until the next one comes out.My only complaint is that I miss reading the book and being congratulated on gaining a new belt color. I love books that do something like that.

Scale?
While I’ve been somewhat critical of the Buryoku books, I’ve also enjoyed them. But Fire and its immediate predecessor both throw any sense of scale out the window. Advancements are so commonplace as to be an almost weekly occurrence, even at the highest tiers of power. Entire Belts are skipped or accelerated through to the point that they all blend together. While I still enjoy the books, they’ve taken on a distinctly DBZ feel, where everyone is just as powerful as the plot demands, regardless of any defined rules

Great read as the others
The series just keeps building the answers come but so do more questions. Very exciting, I am ready for the next book!

Good sequel
A quality follow up for some of the bombs dropped on us at the end of book four. I did feel like the back half of this book was right on the border of being overly drawn out the pacing was decent. I wish we’d had just like one more conversation before the conclusion of this book, but enough of the arc was wrapped up that I finished feeling satisfied. Looking forward to the next one!

Great Read
An awesome addition to the series. Things are coming to a head and we're going to see some big things happening in the next book. A lot happened in this book, but it was mostly build up for the next books amazingness. Can't wait for more, but first we get more Rise to Omniscience and Land of the Elementals which I am also so excited to read.

Pretty good
A great fifth book in the buryoku series. Loved it, but i got pretty bored because it went something like this. spoiler alert. Find fire cavern beast. Run from cavern beast. Oh no, a clan died. <pan to roy> imma just be in this dungeon that is clearly too hard for me - no problem! i'll just train until i hit purple belt! makes a gambit for his old power. <pans away> Oh look there's two new scions<ends book>I got really bored, but still an enjoyable read3.5 stars

Now that’s more like it
This series is finally hitting its stride and has more surprises that you can throw a rock at. That being said I am going on to the next book in this series.

Great book
I am so thankful that this storyline is still so captivating, 5 books into the series. I could not put this book down till I finished it. Looking forward to book 6

Rare to be 5 books in yet the series seems to be getting better
As someone who recently discovered and loves Xianxia books, one of the things I have noticed they have over their western counterparts (maybe it is because they are all written as one really long book rather a series of books) they don't seem to get worse or drop off the further along you read. Something that some of the wester ones sometimes do, especially when you get three or four books deep. That is why I am so glad that even on this fifth book it kept me just as hooked, and the action just as fast paced as book one.

A worthy title to suceed the last book
honestly, every single book of yours turns out to be phenomenal. but still this one blew my mind. the implications of this book will have some very far reaching consequences in the suceeding titles. i reckon the next one will be named darkness. don't keep me waiting long, aaron! :)

ITS OVER 9000!
To start off, I will say that I love this series as a whole but I’m not afraid to point out that the last two instalments have soared to greater heights than the first three. Not to say the first three weren’t amazing, because they were but the events in this book have transitioned the tone of the story into all out ‘serious mode’, meaning that the heat is officially on.As always, the action, romance and progression are spot on, not to mention the reveals! All in all, this series not only lives up to its reputation as a great cultivation story but to it’s newest title, it truly is fire!
