WizKids D&D Icons of the Realms Miniatures: Boneyard Brick

Mini is fine, just the price of the sculpt are my troubles.

Its great if you want to bulk up your d&d monster collection as well as gives great ideas for encounters but many of the miniatures are just low level and not usable in most situations as bosses as well as you have to get lucky when opening to get good value, i got lucky and got multiple mid to high level bosses.

Product is great if you're getting started on a mini collection. Good variety and the painting is done pretty well. Which saves you a lot of time, unless you really get into painting them, no judgement there. You're probably more patient than I am. A slight bit of overpainting on some of them but not bad at all. Easily fixed if you are so inclined.Great as a gift for a sprouting DM. Though the upfront cost seems large you really are saving money in the long run.My only two real complaints is that a few of the minis (large ones) arrived broken and required me to superglue them back together. One of which took quite a bit of effort and baking soda to fix. This isn't a huge deal for myself but I can see how some other bricks may come in worse shape and kinda be a bit of a deal breaker for some. Secondly, I did recieve a few repeats, but that's kinda the risk you take with this kind of purchase. Luckily the repeats were small minis that are enemies you'd expect to find more than one of from time to time in game. So again not a huge deal but variety is always best.Overall though, great deal will be ordering a few other brick packs to really beef up the collection soon.

The 5 stars is for customer service. The item arrived with a glaring manufacturing issue and both Amazon and Quid Ink were very supportive in a refund. It is not the fault of either party and I was happy I received a refund. The figure is awesome but I will have issues trying to set it flat on the table because of the production mistake. But if you (most likely) get one in the correct condition, this is one of the best made models for the wizkid line and I have maybe 200-250 figures at this point. To clarify, the issue I have is the plastic lightning appears to either have been glued at an incorrect angle or was made too long and extends passed the base just a small bit...but enough to throw off the balance. I hope this helps!

This mini looks Astounding it's well made and bigger than I thought it would be. It is a little expensive but should last for a very long time

This is a review for the Brick (8 Booster bundled).Bought a brick as it is a better value compared to buying individual boosters, particularly if you want some guarantee in getting rares, as bricks usually come with at least 3 rares (with some users from D&D miniatures forums reporting getting 4 rares from a brick, though its not prevalent). Of course, the rares themselves remain random.On the miniatures themselves, they are very detailed and of similar or higher sculpt quality to previous Wizkids D&D Miniatures releases. The set itself boasts a wide assortment of undead miniatures, such as •Skeletons of various flavors: (Dwarf, Halfling/Gnome, Humanoid Archer, Warhorse, Hill Giant, Bone Naga)•Zombies & Ghouls (Goliath, Elf, Ogre, T-Rex [with detachable zombies])•Ghosts & Phantoms (Regular Ghost. Wraith, Specter, and even a Poltergeist though its a table)•A couple of Vampires•Powerful Undead (Death Knight, Mummy Lord, Lich, Demilich, and Atropal)Not all minis in this set are undead to keep the set more varied. There are a couple of oozes, a horror from Magic: The Gathering, and the bone whelk and the sibriex from the Descent Into Avernus adventure, not to mention the otyugh and the carrion crawler.As for quality control, I didn't encounter any major damage from the miniatures I got from the brick I purchased, though the Hill Giant Skeleton I got was somewhat bent, which I re-straightened by running it through hot water, then cold water. There seems to be no inherently flawed designs for this miniatures set compared to the Darklands Rising set for Pathfinder (also released by Wizkids just this February), which had a higher rate of broken miniatures due to some of the miniature designs being (I'm looking at you, Leng Spider). Of course, the minis on this set are still subject to possible damage/breakage from transport.Overall, I would recommend buying this set because of the very awesome undead minis.

These things are dangerous because it's easy to keep getting them with the thrill of getting new, already painted, fair quality miniatures, especially with some of the ones this set has on offer. I had never personally bought an Icon of The Realms booster before this one, but had done some research into others and I can confidently say that the quality was (for the most part) bumped up for the Boneyard set. Every miniature I've gotten from them so far has been different. The paint jobs on them are much better in comparison to past sets. They are by no means perfect but still of a good quality. What's also fun is then finding fun and creative ways to incorporate or use these miniatures in a campaign or in the future. But obviously what you get is what you get and it's randomized so you run a risk of getting a double (which isn't always a bad thing). And with these you have the chance of getting more bang for your buck. As in, you pay about $20 for the booster with a chance of getting minis worth more than that inside. Certain things about the pack are guaranteed like the different sizes of minis you get. Overall, fun, occasional buy. I'd recommend if you need some quick minis to spice things up.
