I received the grass seed
The most important thing to me at this point is that the grass actually grows. I have spread the seed out and also turned on the sprinkler system last night for 20 minutes to get everything moist. Will update the growing process in a couple of weeks.UPDATEPrice of this product is way too high. You can get the same grass from Home Depot for half the price. Different name but same manufacturer - just check the contents. Seller also promised me a refund of $50.00 which he never sent and in the process had the nerve to call me a liar. I would highly recommend that everyone look elsewhere.

Impressed
I live in an apartment complex with a very muddy yard and per usual, they didn’t do anything about it. I ordered this in November and put some out in the yard. Did it again in December. Even with the Texas winter… this grass grew pretty well and never died. Stayed green! It is now late February, picture shown. I need to put some more out to make it thick. But I am so impressed!! All the green in the picture is this product!

Updated: grew AMAZINGLY, when I bought it from Ace
I've completely updated this review because this has grown into an amazing little patch of grass...sort of. It took me a while to get the "formula" right, but by putting down a compost/soil mixture, then seed, then a Hanes Excelsior Seed Germination Blanket , I got a beautiful grass patch in an extremely shady section of my lawn. Half of it, at least. It turns out that grass seed, even when it has the same bag, doesn't necessarily have the same stuff in it... even in the same store! Also, how it's stored, transported, etc, can potentially make a big difference. I got one big (7-lb) bag from Amazon, and one small (3-lb) bag from Ace Hardware. The Ace Hardware one seems to have grown like gangbusters. The Amazon one did okay, but nothing to write home about. The 2017 bag I got from Amazon was 14.64% Endeavor II Tall Fescue, 14.63% Faith Tall Fescue, 14.62% Gazelle II Tall Fescue, along with 4.85 Wendy Jean Creeping Red Fescue. 0.01% were weed seeds with no noxious weeds found. 50% of the ingredients were the coating, 1% inert, and 0.25% was other crop. The batch I got in a 3-lb bag from my local Ace Hardware was 17.06% Endeavor II Tall Fescue, 17.05% Duration Tall Fescue, and 14.63% Gazelle II Tall Fescue. The 7-lb bag there was 17.06% Gazelle II Tall Fescue, 17.05% Endeavor II Tall Fescue, 9.74% Faith Tall Fescue, and 4.89% Dynamic II Tall Fescue. Hanes Excelsior Seed Germination Blanket

Great! Love it!
The media could not be loaded. Planted this bag with another bag of seed and both did well, I can tell from the color of the seeds they both germinated. I used the whole bag which is 4x what was required. I planted in late October (20th). It's been 11 days and new sprouts are still shooting up every morning! I'm in Las Vegas area and early October temps were still hitting 90 degrees so I waited to seed until it was upper 70's and the low is upper 40's since this is a cool season grass. I will update pics after 30 days. I used a thin layer of peat moss, you great for water retention and soil ph, I recommend you not skip that important step. The last photo is a picture of an area that I did not use peat moss and threw the seed down. It did not grow. After I bought more peat moss and covered it it started growing. The last 2 pictures are at day 16.

They aren't kidding when they say it needs at least 3hrs of sunlight
I had high hopes for an area that gets little sun. Unfortunately, the area is under a tree and probably gets 2hrs at the most of sunlight. The grass seed did not do too well there. I have since trimmed the tree back, so will give it another shot, but not necessarily with this seed.In other areas it worked great, and the grass has a rich green color, and grows nicely. Germination wasn't as complete as I'd hoped though. This is an acceptable product, but it's not quite as good as I had hoped. I may try a different brand to seed the shaded area to see if I have better results. It's possible that there aren't any options for grass in such a low sunlight area.
