Very bad sound quality play button needs to be pushed again and again for the sound to play not worth the money at allDoesnt function properly

There is no software (cd) that had to come with it. The sound quality is not good. Very soft. And the earphone that came with it, didn't go fully into the jack socket. Not very pleased.

This works well for the purpose I intended it when I bought it. I have not tried to create MP3 files with it yet, I've only played very old tapes with it, and for that purpose it does a great job.

Bought this to convert my favorite tape from my childhood into MP3. The results were disastrous. I wasted hours trying to get the software to detect this device. I even got my husband, who is an IT, to help me troubleshoot it. Still no luck. It would record some sound for a few seconds, then drop off completely. I also experienced the loud feedback that other reviewers have mentioned. The software didn't seem to be the issue. This device is obviously poorly made. It wouldn't rewind the tape at all when I tried, so I had to fast forward all the way to the end and then flip it over just to get to the beginning of the tape. Eventually, it just ate my tape. What a piece of junk. Wish I had never used it.

I just wanted a plain old fashioned tape player. It said in the description that it would play cassettes without using your laptop. WRONG It spun the tape but there is no sound. TOTAL JUNK. Now I have to buy something that will actually work. UPDATE: It does work. At first no sound came out and I tried everything. This may sound stupid to some folks but just encase I'm not the only one out there it plays no sound unless you use ear buds, headphones or mini speakers connected to your laptop. The USB DOES have to be connected to your laptop it will not work and can not be used with an adapter for the USB to plug into the wall. I will say this product needs to state that clearly. So my review went from a 1 star to a 4 star. I am glad I did not return it. It is worth the price and it is not junk once you figure it out.

Software is cumbersome but player is good

Hard to figure out the software. Unsure how to separate the tracks (songs) on the computer program, so it is just one continuous play. I used it for the first time today and “rewind” already stopped working. Sound is ok, I guess since it is cassette quality.
