Excellent quality replacement for a broken one. This plus a youtube tutorial saved me money. And the parental unit is happy once more. Seems strong and well made. The hook is metal, the lever plastic - but it does not feel like cheap plastic. I am expecting it to last for a while. It was the perfect fit in all aspects and dimensions. Was easy to replace, definitely easier than removing the old one. Recommended.

My favorite recliner is so comfortable, and I use it every day. Then one day I pulled on the release handle and it snapped right off in my hand. Well I didn't realize that they even made these parts for replacement until I searched on Amazon and here I am righting this review now. Yes, there is life left in an aging recliner when the handle breaks off and it took less than 10 minutes to fix. So easy to do after watching a youtube video on replacing one. The part fit perfectly into the same hole the old handle was removed from. The wire has a metal fitting that easily attaches to the metal release arm. When ordering, make sure you get the right part. Mine was more round and about 3" in width and 3.5 inches in length. So, now back to relaxing in my recliner with a new release lever that I hope I don't have to replace for another 10 years. ;)
