We used this for our first trip to Acadia, and found it to be very helpful. Some great hike suggestions and some good places to eat as well. Well worth it if you are first timers!

Very thorough guide to Acadia and Bar Harbor with history and local facts thrown in. Reads like a book instead of a travel guide.

The guide has information on places to stay, hikes, biking rentals and carriage trails. Also gives history of the park and has pretty good detailed route maps for hiking.

Great guide for Maine Bar Harbor area. Writer keeps it interesting. Lists of geological/ historical information. Written like a intelligent local.

Good book, a summary of the most popular things to do in bar harbor/Acadia. Did not bring anything new to the table for those who have gone more then once. Pretty basic
