Q: Can you use this on crystal?

I do not know if you can use it on crystals however, I applied it to a copper statue after the statue was "primed" with an adhesive suitable to the application of the gold leaf. Its been several years and no problem with the application.

Q: I want to use on brick. Do I need to seal it after? If so, what is the best sealer?

You should sand and seal the brick surface BEFORE applying the gold leaf adhesive to promote better adhesion. Once the gold leaf has been applied, they can seal it to protect it from wear and tear, particularly if it is going to be exposed to the elements or handled

Q: can this be used for book gilding? Will it adhere to flat surface without the need for glue or adhesives?

Can use for book gilding but need to apply glue on book edge.
