ProMark Classic 7A ActiveGrip Drumsticks (TX7AW-AG)

This product is mainly targeted at drummers who get sweaty hands while playing and also the ones who need lightweight drum sticks. The black color looking body is actually a griping coat which I find very useful if the drumsticks tend to slip out of the player's hand.

I've been using these sticks for a year now and these have become my goto sticks for any gig. The active grip technology works exactly like what they have advertised and even while sweating profusely , the sticks do not slip out of your hand.But one thing which is to be considered is that after using this sticks for longer period of time ,you are gonna get some blisters in your hands.So yeah ,I am impressed with these sticks and keep the last point in mind while purchasing them .

I have been using this stick for the past 8 months... This stick way too light than normal 7A sticks... DONT KNOW WHETHER THEY ARE ORIGINAL ! The buds break easily... But a good choice for practice...

Thought I’d give these a try since our church has an electronic drum set. They definitely get grippy after short use. I don’t know how they’ll last on an acoustic set so far they’ve been great on our electronic set.

Just what the drummer in the house wanted

先立って、同じ2Bスティックの黒を購入していたが、そちらは68gほどだったのにこちらは73gほどもある。材質が違うのかヒッコリーでも重い方と軽い方では1割も違いが出るのか不思議。PROMARKのスティックは三組目だが、それまでの2組はゴム輪が3本付いて来たのだが今回は各1本の計2本だったので、もしやと思い黄色い箱を振ったら三本目の黒ゴム輪が出てきて一安心。左右差は0.34ｇほどだったが、軽い方に黒ゴム輪を2本付けておけば差は0.2gほどに縮まり、軽い方を左手にするのに一瞬で判別できて気分良い。

Active Gripを試したくてActive Grip Clear Acornチップ Forward Balance 5B F5BAGC (406 x 15.1mm)色: Clearを購入した。少し粘つく感触も有ったが、滑り難さも確かで具合良かったので、追加購入してみた。同じActive Grip Acornチップ だけど、今回はRebound Balance Active Grip Acornチップ 2B R2BAG (406.4 x 15.9mm)色: ブラックを選択した。先ず重量は、67.47gと67.97gで0.5gの重量差だった。肝心のグリップはサラサラして粘つく感触は皆無。Active Grip塗料が薄いのか、こちらが本来の手触りなのか不明。塗装が微かに剥げたような白い跡は相変わらずで、黒なのでクリアー塗装より目立つかも。輪ゴムは今回も2個と1個で、たまたまか重量バランスを取っているのかどうか、軽い方に2個付いていた。0.13g/個なので重量差解消だけなら片方に三個付ければ0.39gほど差が埋まるけど、振った時のバランスも有るので、1個：2個にしているのかな。前回購入した5Bクリアータイプより今回の2B黒タイプは、5ｇ/本ほど重いが、持った感じでは判らず、振った感じではむしろ軽く感じた。リバウンドバランスということで、ショルダー部がやや細いタイプで、やや後方を持って振るのが正解なのかな？電子ドラムだけど何故かしらこちらの方が打音は大きく煩く感じる。材質は同じヒッコリーで太さはむしろ今回購入したブラックが太いので塗料によるのか、ショルダー形状に依るのか不思議。ヘッドホンで聴くぶんには前回購入したフォワードバランスの方が粒立ちが揃いシッカリした音で好み。追記同タイプ2Bのクリアーを買ったら、73gほどで同タイプブラックの本製品より5gも重く、左右差は0.3gほどだった。
