12V AC Power Adapter For Seagate HDD, 9NK2AL-510, 9NK2AE-500 Free Agent, Pushbutton, ST3200823A-RK, ST3200823A-RK, 9NK2AG-500, 9W2681540,ST380801U2RK

I ordered and received two of these items for some FreeAgent 500GB external vertical HDD's that I wanted to put back into service. I had misplaced the adapters for the HDD's and so I had to figure out how to get the correct adapters. I did not want to get something that was too HOT for them and burn them up! I Google'd them for "FreeAgent Seagate 9NK2AL-510". This item came up. I read some of the reviews and tried them myself. After receiving them, I plugged one of them in to the FreeAgent and initially I didn't get any response but I thought that it would run without plugging in the USB cord (it didn't). I put both feet into the pot and plugged in the USB and I then vibrated some as it was turning the platter. I was plugged into my laptop and so I accessed the HDD files and did some activities with the Partitioning program to see how will it stood up to the activities. No portion of the HDD seemed to be overheating after about an hour of heavy work and so I think it is working JUST FINE. I accept them as the proper replacement for the 500GB units "FreeAgent Seagate 9NK2AL-510".

My Seagate exterior hard drive quit. Called Seagate and they said it was probably the transformer but they didn't carry them. I checked numerous sites on Amazon and settled on the Crypto Hardward Super Store as having the transformer most likely to work. It worked Perfectly. I plugged in the hard drive, charged it and plugged hard drive into the laptop and I was very happy to see it came to life and works perfectly, thanks

I specifically searched for this power supply using the model number of 9NK2AG-500 which I have 3 of and they all need power supplies. I ordered these because of the title stating that exact model number. Behold they do not fit the drives. The pin in the middle is far to large for the power adapter. The voltage and amps are complete correct though. I ask that you please modify the title as it is untrue for the 9NK2AG-500 model of the Seagate FreeAgent model drives.

The fact that I've had to buy a couple different ones of these speaks more about Seagate and the quality control on their adapters than anything. Mostly, you just want to plug these in and leave them be, as it is for my large external HD. If you schedule backups of your systems onto a drive like the one this adapter is for, you could do worse than this adapter. I've had it running for quite a few months without it failing. It doesn't seem to get too hot and keeps the drive powered, so that's about all you could ask for.

I have a "Seagate Backup" to which he broke the bad quality cable that came with it. But buy this accessory and although not totally tailored stay for a few millimeters, it works great. Recommended if something similar happened to them.Tengo un "Seagate Backup" al que se le rompio el cable de mala calidad que venia consigo. I was able to have access to a hard drive with the power supply.

Ordered this AC adaptor to replace a damaged unit. When it arrived, I read the output and noticed it satisfied the power requirements of every Western Digital hard drive I have. So if you need a replacement adaptor for a modern Western Digital hard drive this one works on everyone up to my 3TB, may work with others but I have not tried it on them yet. Excellent unit.

What is there bad to say - nothing but good.1. The DC12V 3A Power is more than adequate for the Patriot POB.2. The design of the adapter means no bulky plugin since it's just a AC powercord rather than a box plugin.3. And of course the price was lower than others which were poorer in design.
