Buy a Spare
I've purchased two of these from different manufactures. They last 12-18 months then just stop working without warning. The first one died at home and I just put med in refrigerator. This one died during a trip, 300 miles from home. I had to find a large container and ice to keep my insulin cold. They are fantastic when they work. Just beware they do not last very long.

Nice theory but doesn't work
The unit stopped working within a month. Ended up getting a portable 6 can fridge from another place for $30 & made my own medication tray for it.

Insulin friendly frig
Very happy with this small frig for my type 1 diabetic for college. I needed something that was at a constant temp to keep insulin cool. It can fit up to 8 insulin vials. You do not need the battery if you are not traveling and the machine can stay plugged all the time to stay at a desired temp.

Buttons aren’t the best and too small
I did like this fridge originally. However, now that I’ve had it for 4 months the buttons are not working well and I couldn’t get it to turn off. Now that I’m writing this the battery pack was a little hard to put in when I first got it.. almost like it was too tight of a fit into the compartment. The last thing that I’m not a fan of is the size of the refrigerator part itself. It hold my smaller (10ml) vials of medication but not the bigger (30ml) vials and the crazy part is that isn’t even that big. Other than those things, it does get cold and I like that you can set the temperature of what you want it to be.

Keeps my insulin cold on trips
It keeps my insulin in safe temperature range during trips by car, plane and ship. I have used it on all 3 and never had a problem, battery lasts plenty long enough (over 8 hours) to get to my destinations where I can plug it in.

Poor design. Several flaws
The power buttons are on top and they get hit and turned off when holding the unit. The case flips over due to the placement of the straps. Even when charging for more than 15 hours on a flight the battery dies within 2 hours unplugged. I returned for a refund and ordered something else. I was not comfortable that my meds were safe since the unit kept shutting off it battery dying.
