Seduced By A Devil (The Deville Brothers Book 1)

First book of a new series and it didn’t let me down. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Gabe and Dimity. There’s love, laughter, tears and suspense all in one book. I’ve only given the book 4 stars because I worked out the plot fairly early on but it didn’t diminish my enjoyment of the book. All in all a good book and I can’t wait to read the next instalment.

Some of the names chosen were really out of kilter and irritated me away from my enjoyment of the book, and a bit of misuse of French didn’t help.However that’s just nitpicking and I’m sure most readers won’t notice it. The story itself was full of fun and adventure and I enjoyed it enormously as I do all of this series.

I have read many of Wendy Vella books and enjoyed them all. This is the first book of a new series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I loved the epilogue. I wish she’d had epilogues for some of her earlier books.

A new to me author and a first period romance for me, this did not disappoint. The hard faced Earl falls for the lowly girl, a tale as old as time. Loved every page of this book

I found the plotline really lacking in substance. Most of the action centred on Gabe and Dimity's backbiting . In fact they were both hard to like!And the subplot around the murder plot?Both sides seemed pretty inept despite the Kung Fu.bits..The story felt rather thrown together. However I will read the next one

Unusually the story centres around a strong woman who will take no nonsense from the pompous earl. You are drawn in by the amusing situations that happen throughout the story, like dogs running off into ponds, impromptu literary salons & the earl falling off a chair. But there is a plot against the king & all are caught up in it. Well worth a read.

This was a most entertaining read. I just loved all the teasing sibling banter with the Deville brothers but they were ready in an instant when any of them needed help. This story is mainly about Gabriel, Earl of Raine and Dimity Brown. Dimity and Gabe had often argued when Dimity was his sister’s piano teacher. Now Gabe has been tasked with finding Dimity. Dimity has questions about her background. I enjoyed that some of the Sinclairs were in the story. There is also a plot involving the king, and old adversary and a romance. I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series.

The book was very well written and very funny. I am looking forward to reading more of her stories. Good story great characters

This was my first full read by Ms Vella and I enjoyed it very much! The characters drew you right in. There was a lot of adventure, mystery, romance and a few laughs. I did feel there was a lot of repetitions in the story that did not anything extra. All in all it was a very good read and will continue the series and more of her books!

Thoroughly enjoyed this first book of a new series by Wendy Vella. The characters Dimity and Gabriel (Raine) were both strong and unique individuals, who often clashed but were a perfect foil to each other. I was more than pleased with this beginning tale of the Deville brothers, and can’t wait for the next one.. Thank YOU , Wendy Vella, Authoress Supreme, for feeding our reading frenzy, especially at this crazy time in the world.. and feeding it so well. 🤗

What a gutsy heroine this book has ! Loved the way she stands up for herself , the way the hero is shown vulnerable and lastly the characters have a quirky sense of humour that's simply adorable !

I really enjoyed this book. I even laughed outline several times.I like the way other characters from her other books pop up, so we continue to follow their lives too. Brilliant. Can't wait for the next one.
