Nice option for a smoky flavor when you want it. Not the best canned fish but far from the worst. occasionally I crave this more smoky flavored treat over a traditional sardine. Good boneless option for canned fish beginners as well. cannot go wrong with these at their usual price point.

These are large pieces, but the herring taste and flavor is dull with mostly the smoke coming through.

Delicious. Excellent taste and texture. I was getting the Smoked/ Peppered version but the price recently nearly quadrupled. I saw this simply smoked version for the price I had been paying for the other, and decided to try it. Just as good. Just a simple salt and lightly smoked flavor. Packed in canola/rapeseed oil.Very tasty. I love eating it on crackers. The texture is hearty, not at all mushy. The flavor has a delicate smoked taste, and while it is quite salty, it is so good. I even like the oil. I imagine some sodium is left behind if you dont partake in consuming the extra oil.As with any can of this style, peel back the lid slowly and carefully.I just bought 4 more. I really like this product!
