Excellent product to restore white tile grout
Needed to restore the white tile grout in a 10 year old shower. I noticed the tile gout had lost its original bright white color due to daily shower use.Found this product on amazon, and a word, this is TERRIFIC to restore white tile grout to a bright white. Some thoughts on using it:- the nozzle in the plastic tube has a plastic tip at the end that can be snipped off before using, but after doing this with the first tube, I found it squeezed out far too much material for the grout lines, which I had on my tile which I would guess are somewhere between 1/16 - 1/32 in width. When I used the larger diameter hole, it applied too much grout and I found myself having to clean too much material and also using up more than necessary. I recommend measuring the width of the grout lines in your tile, then using a drill bit that's approx. 1/2 the width of the grout line to make the hole in the nozzle. When I did this with the second tube of grout repair, I had much better results: much less excess material and much less to clean up.- after applying the grout to the tile grout lines, use your finger tip to lightly work it into the grout line itself and smooth it out. Doing this, you'll find yourself having to clean your finger tip allot with a damp cloth.- make sure to have a couple of damp cloths to wipe any excess material off the ceramic tile, as even with a smaller hole in the nozzle I still found myself having the clean the material off the tile.- DO NOT try to do too large an area before smoothing it out with your finger and cleaning any excess off the ceramic tile, as the material sets up rather quickly. Like in 1-2 minutes. I applied the material on the horizontal grout line first, then the vertical grout lines, then smoothed out the material and wiped the excess off the ceramic tile with a damp cloth. As for the clean-up cloth, use something like small pieces of an old t-shirt, which is smooth to the touch. DO NOT use a cleaning cloth made of terry cloth material: the loops in the terry cloth will "dig into" the just repaired grout line and remove the material you just applied.- The material is not like caulk in its consistency - it's more like a grout material. With that said, it will be dull in appearance - not shiny - which is what you would want.- the only complaint I have with the product is that if you try to use this product to do a small repair to some grout lines like I did (tried to fill in where some holes had formed in the original grout), the contrast in the very white new repaired area was very different in appearance (far whiter in color), that found myself having to do the whole wall. However, if you didn't know, you'd think the shower tile was just installed. VERY impressed with how this product will made the shower walls look brand new.- Lastly - be sure to wait at least 24 hours before exposing the repaired area to water, such as using the shower again. Ideally I would even wait 48 hours if you can.

This is a fantastic product!
I regrouted my entire shower stall today. It took about three hours, not including treating the area for mold and mildew. I read the reviews on this grout and followed others’ instructions to not chop the nib at the tip, but tap a nail in at the very tip to achieve a smaller aperture and control diameter of the product from the tube. This was very helpful in application, caused less clean up, as well as waste of grout. Product applies well, is a clean bright white, and made my grey and/or mildewed grout look like new. We’ll see how long it lasts. I had used the paint pens about nice months ago and while those looked fabulous after application, the look of it started to deteriorate too soon for the work of applying it all. This grout was a game changer and will hopefully last longer.

Miracle
This grout repair far exceeded my expectations. It filled cracks well - invisible! I took other users idea & had my husband drill a small hole in the top. That makes it easier to handle & minimizes waste. Instead of my finger, I used a small foam brush (thanks Amazon). the brush speeds up application tremendously. I did the grout on all 3 of my bathroom floors. Instead of wiping as I went, I came back & used a razor scraper to remove any excess that got on the tile. One reviewer was right, it looks so good that you end up doing the whole area. VERY PLEASED!!!

First tube was great. Second tube dry.
I really liked this product. I was able to complete half my shower with no problems. I ran out, so I ordered a second tube. There must have been some sort of blockage because I could not get any out. I stuck an ice pick in, but still nothing. So, I squeezed really hard - and it blew out the back of the tube (still nothing out the front, though). Amazon wants me to return the tube to get a replacement, but this cannot be returned - it's a hazard. I have to buy another tube to finish my shower. Hopefully, this one works.

So easy!
Love this stuff. Used it to redo my kitchen countertops which were GROSS. Scraped out the existing grout and put this in and out looks like new! It's been 6 months since then and it's held up very very well. Not as porous as I'd anticipated. Will use again.

Do not recommend
I was looking for something to seal/fix some deteriorating grout in our shower. One of the first reviews had a Before where the grout looked similar to mine and I was so impressed with the After results that I thought this product was my solution to save an expensive regrouting. I did the nail in the tube thing as mentioned in some reviews and that worked well for dispensing the product to my grout. But this stuff if super hard to work with. I tried to work in small sections first bc it does dry incredibly fast. Like a minute or two. But cleaning it off the tile edges I just kept messing up the product in the grout line too. I tried papertowels, a damp microfiber cloth and even a t-shirt as another review recommended. Finally I did a bigger section and let it dry then tried scraping off dried product with a putty knife, my finger nail and the t-shirt but again, kept pulling up the product from the grout. I finally said screw it and just did the more cracked grout areas, giving up on the thought of doing the entire shower and it looked like I had at least fixed the worst of the problem areas even though the color disparity looked terrible but now a week later our house cleaners came and they always scrub our shower with whatever awesome cleaning products they use and I notice some of the product lifted! I'm guessing the rest will slowly disappear with more cleanings so this was a complete waste of time, energy and money. First photo shows my results removing the product from tile when it was dry. Second photo shows what I accomplished when I cleaned it while wet. And last 2 are after the house cleaning today showing some of the lift.
