HarperCollins 2084: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity

Unsettling and Worthwhile
As the title suggests, it's a sort of riff on Orwell's 1984 dystopian vision, but for the coming century. Dr. Lennox suggests that in view of things like AI technology, and in view of the mad ideology promoted by global organizations like the WEF, we should be very concerned about the immediate future. As always, Lennox is moderate, fair and thoughtful in his critiques; nevertheless, the conclusions are highly concerning. A valuable warning about the directions the world's heading, and the sorts of discernment and good judgment we need to have right now in order to protect the next generation. Not hard to understand, but a serious book.

"The skills that make us uniquely human are ones the no machine can replicate"
I liked finding a lot of factual information with full reference to the sources. I will use this book as a trustworthy source of information to support any of my statements on AI, when applicable, on my Christian preaching and on my YouTube videos.

Makes you think
Everton should read this book. Its really informative and helps to understand what is happening with AI development. It is hard to keep up with all the new developments. Will We ever pause and think about the consequences? We should

Excellent little book !
A great little book written by Oxford logician John Lennox. Not only a short introduction to AI , its problems, promisses and pitfalls, but also a comparison of AI and humanity from a Christian perspective
