Where to begin. First, I received this product five days early. Which was a pleasant surprise. Second, it was so well wrapped I was sure that it would be intact, and it was. Third, it's appearance is just as, if not more, beautiful than the pictures featured. Fourth (and most importantly in my opinion) it sounds really nice. Exactly how I would expect an instrument of this design to sound, and the sound is consistent. Very easy to play. I am quite excited to give this to my girlfriend and, frankly, if she does not like if, I feel like it would be worth using for my self. Although I am sure she will like it as much as I do. If not more. Which is the most pleasing thing of all.

I purchased this guitalele from a different vendor who advertised it with the same photos and description. There are several such listings out there but I couldn't find a user review anywhere. I received exactly what was pictured but I suppose my review only applies if your vendor is indeed selling the items in the photos.The instrument is exactly as described. The beauty and the quality of the wood is wonderful. The matte fish really allows the grains in the wood to show their warm natural glow. It is built as solidly as any of the Yamaha acoustic guitars I own. All of the inlay on the neck and around the rim are high-quality materials - not just some plastic look alikes. The rosette (around the soundhole) is indeed carved - giving an extra touch of class to this subtle yet unique design.Looking at the cross-cut on the soundhole I can tell that it is a composite top (not solid wood) but that is completely fair game for the price I paid. There are no flaws that can be seen from 2 feet away.Mine came pre-strung, plus an extra set of strings and a perfectly sized and shaped travel bag of hearty synthetic fabric. The bag has a modestly sized beach logo that says, "Our Summer" on it. It also came with two miniature guitar-shaped wooden tablets that are seen hanging from the neck in the photos. They are simultaneously cute and classy. There was also an instruction booklet in Chinese. The machine heads feel solid and move smoothly and it was easy enough to tune.It is the travel-friendly size of a ukulele but the 6 strings play just like a guitar! It's small, bright sound is much like a uke but it gets loud enough if you want to shred it. I think the sound quality is great and I'm fairly musical, though I don't have the discerning ear of a serious musician.In summary, I bought this as a gift for my wife and she's gonna go nuts for it! Sight, sound and size are all spot on. The kids and I are gonna have a hard time leaving it alone. Assuming your vendor is selling the instrument in the pictures (pretty safe bet with a high rated seller) then I would TOTALLY Recommend this. It can be a stylish and super-fun addition to any amature or pro's collection. It would probably be a good starter for small-handed beginners, too.

So delighted with this guitalele! It plays like a dream. The quality and workmanship is excellent! I needed it quickly and the company went out of their way to ship it to me ASAP. This is an excellent little instrument for practice or performance.
