Belt fit just right and now my turntable is operational

Correct sizing is of utmost importance.
The belt that was sent was not the correct size. It was so tight that it caused excess tension on the motor spindle, which in turn caused the platter to spin at 32 RPM. The belt itself seemed ok quality, but sending the wrong size was a big problem that took me quite a while to figure out. I thought there was a problem with the motor or other mechanics of the system until I tried an old belt off another old turntable and it worked perfectly and at proper speed for 33.3 and 45 RPM settings.
