Bought for 2011 KIA Optima Ex, impressed but not surprised...
Clocking in 50,000 miles the OEM Engine filter was due for a change so I started looking for replacements and like everyone else we tend to go with what we know. To that end father worked on all of our vehicles growing up in regards to basic maintenance and when able even the much more involved repairs. There have been a few things to stick with me from those days one of which was the awesomeness of K&N filters. After checking the brands with the dealership (OEM 30k mile replacement filter) and a local shop (FRAM 45k mile replacement filter) I started to look online for alternatives which is when I remembered the K&N filters my Dad installed and used for years without another replacement. Finding a fit was easy and the price was comparable to all other competitors yet cheaper through Amazon than retail. Filter arrived with warranty information, info card, and a K&N logo sticker. The warranty information states the filters is reusable and details cleaning instructions, and boasts that you just purchased a Million Mile Engine filter. The OEM filter I pulled out of the filter case was black, like close to pitch black, they were not yankin' my chain last oil change it was time to think about getting a replacement. The K&N was a perfect fit and felt snug when I engaged the clips on the case to make the seal. Now I've been driving with the new filter for the last 5 days and have noticed the following:- Engine idle sounds less rough- Acceleration is smoother through the lower gears- My average mileage via computer gauge shows about 3 mpg improvementAs the subject says I'm impressed but not surprised cause I expected nothing less from a K&N filter. Also there is a info sheet that tells you that using a K&N filter DOES NOT void your manufacturer's warranty which is 100% absolutely true nation wide. So rest easy, spend less money, and get better performance all in one.Oh, I was so impressed the other day I stuck the sticker on the lower left hand corner of my rear window... cause I'd like someone to ask me about it just so I can tell them to go buy a K&N.

Right filters, Right prices, Right shipping.
First of all, I have 2 Kia Optima's, and I entered my newsed 2015 kia Optima SX turbo into the Amazon data base and it said "this product will not fit your car. I was like..YES IT WILL. So I cross referenced the part number, and read all the reviews of Sonata/Optima turbo AND 2.4l owners who were happy with it. Basically: this filter fits ALL 2011 to 2015 Optimas, no matter the engine choice. So, the webmaster needs to fix that. The cabin air filter was GREAT QUALITY, much thicker than the cheap charcoal one from the dealer. So, EVERYTHING FITS, there are no problems, and I am VERY happy with my purchase. Thank you very much. At $38 bucks, it was $14 cheaper than Advance and $10 cheaper than anyone else. Perfect.

Worth the money!
i use to by the cost efficient filters for my vehicles and now that they are both (Honda and Hyundai) hitting the 200k mark I decided to invest the engine and oil filters with K&N and it’s a well worth investment. Slight notice in fuel efficiency and throttle response. Easy installation, perfect fit and filter quality is top of the line. Highly recommend especially for diy oil changes.

2011 Hyundai Santa Fe it improved the gas mileage
Before K&N 21.08 41 tank fillsAfter the K&N 22.59 4 tank fills 1-3-12My gas mileage has increased since I installed the K&N filter. I replaced the filter the Santa Fe came with after a year. On my 1994 Toyota Pickup the mileage went up about 1 mpg. To prevent most people from being bored I have the specifics at the bottom of the review.I have used K&N filters since the 1980's and I have never had any problem caused by increased engine wear or component damage. Being a mechanic I maintain my own vehicles. In 2010 I sold my 1994 Toyota Pickup that I had new since 1994 and it had a K&N since 1995. It has over 130,000 miles on it, does not burn oil, and is still running for the third owner with the K&N I purchased back in 1995. My 1996 Honda Civic is still running for the third owner with the K&N I purchased as well. I will not bore you with the rest of my vehicles that used K&N filters. Being parsimonious I thoroughly investigate products and keep my vehicles as long as possible. I get the best parts because of safety and who wants to redo because you use cheap parts?I have tracked the gas mileage on my 2011 Santa Fe since it was new. I got the car December 10, 2010. My average mileage before the K&N filter was 21.08 and the last two fill ups before the K&N I got 19.32 and 19.65 probably due to the winter gas blend. After K&N I got 24.72, 20.48, 21.69, and 23.46.I take the miles driven and divide by the gallons added. To date my average mileage is 21.22 and the mileage calculator the car has is 22.73. The car's calculator is off by 6.64% and it is factory calibrated with gas without ethanol and my 2003 Corolla gets about 7.83 less mileage with ethanol so the car's calculator would be off by 1.19 if I could buy ethanol free gas using this calculation. For my ethanol info read the comment.
