I noticed that blades is not flat with one side of the cutting edge bent up towards the motor. Is this intentional or defective?

That the way mine is and it works perfectly. I would think this was intentional. Never notice a problem,

Do you need to hold down two switches to use this ? ON switch and the Speed switch at the same time, or what ?

One switch is hi speed other is lower speed
