Q: Does the bamboo absorb paint, stain or indelible markers?

I applied stain, wiped it it, and it behaved similar to hard yellow line, absorbed more in the soft grain, less in the hard, showing the grain. It takes a Sharpie permanent marker very well. I have found it to bend smoothly and strongly, without weak points.

Q: Can this be used for furring strips? Going to put up backsplash and i need furring strips?

Don't think so. They are very small and narrow. You can only glue them if you put them somewhere. They are used for hobbies not for around the house. If you're making a doll house and using it for that then it's okay.

Q: Can these be easily bent into a rainbow curve?

No i dont think so. I bought them for plant markers and they are still standing strong after a wet winter

Q: Can this be used as flooring?

I would not use it as flooring. The individual pieces are small and are not finished with tradition flooring material.
