I bought to use in my drop ceiling basement after receiving a free Mitsubishi xd221u lcd projector from a friend. I was a bit reluctant due to the price but it is well worth it. I am not "handy" and this was an easy install with a ton of extra sized screws and parts to fit my projectors needs. Actual panel fit right in my 2" x 2" drop ceiling space. Well constructed and not a single part is made with inferior materials. I like the different adjustment mechanisms to perfect alignment of the image. Not sure if it is available but would like to see an extension arm offered that is compatible with this unit, this would enable someone with a higher ceiling to get the projector down lower where less adjustments need to be made via the projector settings (lens shift, zoom, keystone, etc.)

This was by far one of the best investments we have made! We use drop ceiling and the actually ceiling is maybe about two feet higher than the drop ceiling so before we were using a long arm projector mount to go straight to the actually ceiling, but there would be a lot of shaking and the projection image would ‘unadjust’. I took the advice of another buyer and took the time to use my existing ceiling tile instead of just using the metal ceiling tile provided. Simply cut the outline of the arm, put the original drop ceiling and then the metal plate on top of the drop ceiling, and screw in the arm! It looks great and clean! Highly recommended, very sturdy and easy to use!

One word, Fantastic! Arrived 1 day earlier than expected. Dont waste your time with other drop ceiling mounts. I did and returned them all. So glad I spent the money and ordered this one. This mount is sooooo simple and very sturdy and well made. Since my drop ceiling is sturdy, and reinforced already, all I had to do was remove a ceiling tile, and plop this one in. It fit perfectly and did not bow the ceiling. I didn't need to use the extra clips or wire hangers it comes with. Once I attached the projector, I was good to go. Holes and everything line up perfectly. This is not some cheap made overseas garbage. Took me about 1/2 hour to install. You will not be dissapointed.

This mount works great! Overall, the projector ended up a lot lower than I expected, but the mount is a very high quality, and it was easy to install. I tried cutting up a ceiling tile like some of the other reviewers suggested, but I couldn't achieve a clean-looking cut, so in the end I just set this in place without a ceiling tile. My wife likes the look of it better this way anyhow.

Mounting was just a little bit of work, but once in, these are perfectly functional and let you do a standard install in a 2 x 2 drop ceiling grid for a fraction of the cost of other approaches to solving this problem. Includes the needed tether for mounting above into a beam or other structural support. Design is a little heavy/clunky, somewhat lacking in aesthetic, and the zero vertical adjustability meant for a lower mount in some of the classrooms we put these in than we would have like, but the price is right.

I really can't think of anything I disliked about this purchase. The panel is made of a sturdy metal and it came with all plates and plugs that you need to make this a professional looking install. Simply pick your electrical box and pick the projector mount point that centers the best with your projecting area and use the provided plates and plugs to close up the rest. The mount that comes with this is perfect. Easy to put together and was easily mounted to my projector. You can adjust this mount very easily and lock it into place once you're happy with the orientation. I wouldn't suggest this for those old/super heavy projectors, but for your medium sized conference room projector in a drop ceiling, this is the way to go.

The cost of this turned me away the first time. I went with a vaulted projector mount which was difficult to install and was an eye sore as it went through the ceiling tile. I finally decided it was time to try this out and it was well worth it. The ease of install, multiple mounting points on the tile and the strong, versatile swivle arm mount got my projector lined up perfectly. It is no longer an eye sore and I actually catch myself staring at it every once and a while. I didnt need to use the option to attach a gang box but this is just too cool. Don't make the mistake I made. Go with the ceiling tile.

I bought this to mount a projector from a suspended ceiling and it has worked well for the job. The adjustable design made it much easier to get the projector positioned correctly without having to compromise on the setup. The mount feels sturdy once installed and the adjustments allow you to fine tune the angle and position. Installation was fairly straightforward, although like any ceiling mount it is worth taking your time to make sure everything is properly secured. It has helped create a much cleaner setup compared with having the projector sitting on a shelf or table. A practical mount that does what it needs to do and keeps the projector safely in place.

I bought this mount to use for my home theatre which is in my basement. I have a 2x2 drop ceiling and a BenQ TK700STI projector. The tile has a nice secure fit and the mount is very easy to adjust to get your projector into the perfect position. I also really liked that this unit has three mounting options on the side, besides just the middle mount option. I moved my projector to the side middle mount point because it allowed me to line up my projector with my screen without needing any keystone correction. Overall, I am really happy with both the ceiling tile and projector mount!

Ordered 3 of these for our office. Fit into our standard ceiling tile frames just fine and cutting one of the tiles in half completed the professional look. Adjustment and tightening of the mount is easy and stays in place with our Epson projectors. Would definitely buy again.

If you have a standard size suspended ceiling but no easy way of fixing a projector post to the ceiling then this is perfect for you. You just remove a well placed tile and replace with this unit. Then run your services to this as needed and away you go 😀👍
