These are stylish and practical, but I've never had to work as hard to get a pair of trainers to be actually comfortable (and if I'm honest, two months later it's still a work in progress). Maybe it's my fault for ordering a 4.5 rather than my usual 5, but I had to buy cushioned heel liners to stop the incredibly stiff backs from shredding my heels. Another Vans wearer I know seemed to think this was a rite of passage!I usually wear silicone heel cup pads too, which normally fit seamlessly in various pairs of shoes. However, something about the flatness of the Vans' inner sole makes the pads creep towards my toes whenever I walk up a set of stairs. Another pair of insoles proved to work well, so I've nearly sorted the comfort (as long as I don't lace them too tight) however now I've noticed the glue coming away between sole and canvas on the inside of the right shoe. They do look good, so I'll stick with them, but I doubt I'll buy another pair of Vans.

Ça passe avec tout, il faut avoir ces chaussures dans ses affaires. Par contre elles font si mal aux pieds au départ 😭
