Disappointed
The corner of the book & several pages were bent. I don't like this on a brand new book. Otherwise, the book was in good condition.

Great resource for therapists
This book is an excellent resource for a therapist that works with children and their parents. I use it in the beginning of sessions for most of my clients to educate and offer perspective. It appears that some customers are receiving copyrighted manuals and that’s unfortunate and I wish amazon was better about making sure that doesn’t happen. The copy I received is original and very highly recommended.

Excellent content Poor design
Excellent content. Downside is the text is tiny and fills about 1/2- 3/4 the page.

Smallest font in the world
I have great eyes and I can not believe how small the print and font is. I wish the book was more readable, the publisher could increase the font and add more pages. The formatting has huge white space on edges of each page and this huge margin space is wasted. I think it was designed and intended to be a text book, but the font is very small. This book is pretty pricey for a paperback book. I would not have bought it if I would have seen it before buying it. I am sure that the author is brilliant and this is a publishing issue, but it is problematic for a reader. The book is a reference book for me and I am excited to use this book as needed. Dear author: please ask your publisher to change the formatting!

This is an excellent book for child therapists
This is an excellent book for child therapists. I've been working with children for many years, yet still found it helpful. There are handouts in the back of the book that are excellent for parents.

Just ok
This book was raved about in my play therapy training, but it’s small and doesn’t go into as much detail as I was expecting for the price.

A must have for anyone working with children
As a trainee therapist, this has been an invaluable source of quick referencing of child development. It's not a definitive guide but it does provide a solid foundation for further reading.
