any specifications for emi rfi filtering available ?

I wanted surge protection with no filtering of X10 signals. This unit had no EMI/RFI filtering in its specifications which was my preference. It does have the highest surge rating of 1500 Joules compared to competing products.

Is it safe to plug a 6 plug surge protector strip with the cord on it, into one of the plugs in this and use it like normal?

Yes, but this already has a surge protector built in. You would be better off using your protector strip on another outlet. As long as the total load at any time on your outlet is under 1600 watts it is safe. Remember that surge protectors wear out over time, each voltage surge spike removes a bit of the surge protection permanently. After 5 years you should not trust any surge protector to still offer protection, just use it as a regular outlet and add fresh surge protection to the circuit.

4 pack of GE Outlet Extender Surge Protector are great. Rest easy cause they are UL Certified!

I love these discreet surge protector outlet extenders by GE. They plug right into the regular outlet and protect whatever you plug into them from surges or spikes. Did you know that you are supposed to replace these every few years? I never knew that, they don't last forever ! These are nice white colors and blend in beautifully on the wall. I appreciate that they are UL listed so I know I can trust them. Turns a two plug regular outlet into a 6 plug surge protected outlet (3 outlets on each side). Very happy with the convenience of a 4 pack. Worked out great!
