Nice way to send a message
Really easy to set up. Got this for my daughter to send a message to family. It was a really nice touch, and they loved it! The card can then be kept, which they have done, and pressed each time you want to hear the message. With the card being blank, my daughter was able to decorate it as she wanted.

Great idea, easy to use, wish they were a bit cheaper!
I absolutely love these recordable gift tags, but they are very pricey - £20.99 for a pack of 3 at time of review. They are carefully packed and come pre-threaded with cord for attaching to a gift, but the design is very plain with the idea being that you can customise and embellish them yourself. Personally I love this idea and will have lots of fun designing custom tags for my loved ones, but I can imagine that less creative people might not be thrilled with the idea of having to decorate the tags, especially when they work out at around £7 each. Also included is an instruction manual, and in these days of cheap imports and shoddy translation, I must say what a breath of fresh air it is to receive clear, user-friendly, easy-to-read instructions. To be fair, these are simple enough to use that the instructions are almost redundant but I still love that the manufacturers put some care into making sure you get the most from the product. The fiddliest part was removing the battery saver strip, which was longer than expected and so firmly in place that I was concerned I would damage the tag in the course of trying to remove it. However, it did eventually come out and at that point it’s just a case of using a pen or similarly fine object to depress the record button. At the sound of the beep, you have up to 60 seconds of recording. When you stop pressing the button, you will get a double beep to signal the end of recording. Then you press the button on the other side of the card to play back your message. The audio is quite clear, and I love that these are slender enough to fit in the post. I think there are all sorts of fun possibilities with these, just hope the price comes down in time.

Much poorer than the previous items
I don't often write a review but I have to warn others that these recordable gift tags, by the same company that I have used before, are much more difficult to handle. With the older types, which I have used many times, I simply pressed a soft recorder when holding the card/recorder close to the mike. Now I have to push a pen into a small hole which is much more cumbersome (requiring two hands and a position away from the mike) and the resulting recording is muffled. Sorry - but these are not really very good.

Memory
I have never seen anything like this before, what a lovely gift idea. The children also really enjoyed decorating the little cards.

Nice Novelty Gift Tags
These are a real fun and novel alternative to gift tags giving you the opportunity to add 90s voice recordings. They are relatively straightforward to use and the sound quality is pretty decent all things considered. I do find them pretty expensive at about £7 a tag.

A fun, unusual and novel idea
These are quite large gift tags and are supplied with the instructions in a resealable plastic bag. The cards are blank to add your own message and decoration and come with tying cords. Messages up to one minute can be recorded by pressing a small button with a ballpoint pen, or similar, waiting for the beep and then holding the button down whilst the message is recorded. As the small loudspeaker doubles as the microphone quality isn't great, but it is ok. We found best results were obtained when speaking close to the speaker. Playback is then done by pressing the play button on the front of the tag. An unusual and novel idea.

Fun gift tags
These gift tags are a novelty way to add a bit of fun to your gifts. They are simple to use; remove the tag to activate the battery and then press the record button with a pencil or similar item to record your message, up to 60 seconds. The sound quality upon playback is good. They are very plain which could be regarded as a positive or negative, for me it was a negative as I would have liked them to have been a bit more attractive.

Functional tags
These tags do exactly as they set out to do - they play back any recording up to 60 seconds, which makes them ideal if you want to serenade with music, or excite them with your own rendition of Happy Birthday.Where it loses a star is the aesthetics of the tags - they look so 'functional', is the best way to describe them. I'm surprised the designers didn't see fit to make them look far more pleasing to the eye. Even a few sheets of stickers would have made a difference. Nevertheless, these are great tags to use for extra-special occasions. 4*
