My hair is thick and quite long (it goes to my knees) and when I put it in a braid and wind the braid into a knot it's a lot of hair! So I was afraid that these little snoods wouldn't hold all of my hair but they do. The fit is snug but comfortable as the net stretches enough to hold all of my hair. The bow is a nice touch, not really necessary but nice. In all honesty I would prefer a snood clip with a smaller bow or without a bow at all but I couldn't find one like that so this is fine. The only problem I have with these snoods is that the clip isn't very strong. The first one that I tried out snapped into several pieces because apparently I put too much hair into the clip. So I returned these and was sent a replacement and so far the replacements are working but that's probably because I now do not put too much hair in the clip. I think as long as you just put a small amount of hair in the clip, just enough to hold it in place and no more, then you should be fine.

These are sturdy and perfect for dressage.

I wish the clips were not metal. But they are very nice.
