Great internet!
I use this router for everyday use as it is supposed to be used but for gaming on 2 gaming pcs and 2 Xbox’s all day everyday pretty much and I’ve had no problems with it other than I can’t play call of duty because of the strict nat type which I don’t know how to fix so I can’t connect to any call of duty lobby but other than that no problems with the internet at all

no brainer
talk about plug and play, easy to use. We are getting amazing results, 100 meg the vast majority of time. Far better results than previous provider and it's totally portable

Extremely unhappy
Extremely unhappy. This product doesn’t work. Phoned up HUAWEI and they have told me the serial number is not on their database. I have been scammed. Don’t by from off of Amazon

Great connection, bad interface
I purchased this router as an upgrade from TP-Link AC1200 which provided us with solid download and upload speeds but could not deliver a reliable connection. I purchased this router as it is Cat12 and because as a smaller unit we could place in a better spot.In terms of performance our download and upload speeds in different rooms are roughly the same (as expected) but it has approximately halved our ping and reduced jitter by around 80% which is very impressive. So far it has provided us with a very reliable connection even before moving it to a better position. However, the setup was not so easy. The firmware interface, compared to the TP-Link router, is pretty rubbish. The interface is not very nice, some features don't seem to work, and some are simply hidden and can only be dug out with the browser's dev tools. It also did not connect to the EE network correctly, at first we could only connect to IPv6 addresses and not any IPv4 addresses. To resolve this I needed to setup a custom - IPv4 only - connection.

Excellent
Brought this for wifi in my caravan, used with o2 sim.Connects brilliantly, manages loads of devices with no lag. It’s actually better than the broadband at home. Will be going down this route when contract ends with Virgin.

Excellent piece of tech that can save you money but it's not completely relaible!
Huawei B628-265 is compact, functional, good performance, stylish (if you're bothered about that....I'm not) and easy to set up, so for most its a good option initially. But for me, it stops transmitting (or internal computer freezes, not sure) every 5-6 weeks and is offline for about a week each time. If you are there and present during that week and are able to reboot it, great, but if your are away for several weeks like me, you worry about the reliablity of this device as part of your home security sytem. I've programmed it to reboot itself weekly for maintenance and updates, but it still shuts down and there is nothing you can do remotely, only if you are physically present.Avoid if you're away a lot, but if you live and remain in your home or you can visit the property regulary or easily (you're a local landlord or property manager), this is an excellent option that will save you lots of money compared to home broadband services such as Virgin, BT, EE etcI'm going to remove it imminently though.
