Best Gift I Ever Gave My Dad!
This clock is exactly what I was looking for, and it works perfectly! I bought it for my elderly dad's birthday because he always wants to know what time it is, but hates to wear a wristwatch and hates to wear his glasses, so he had some trouble keeping up with the hours in the day. ;-) All of his clocks are electric, and we have power outages fairly often in our area, so that added to his frustration (and mine, because I'm the one who has to reset them all, sometimes more than once in a single day.) So, that brings me to this big, easy to read, battery run, atomic clock! I looked at many different atomic clocks, and read the customer reviews for most of them, and finally decided on this one. It's beyond everything I hoped it would be! It's very nice looking, it set itself within about 12 hours (probably would have happened sooner but I accidentally set DST to OFF instead of ON. Once I realized this and made the correction, the clock reset itself within a few seconds, and we were off and running.) I placed the clock on a wall where he can easily see it from his dining table, as well as from his favorite recliner. The front of the clock faces slightly NE (mostly East), in the general direction of Ft. Collins. He has a gigantic spruce tree in his yard that blocks the view of the street, and an entire mountain range just a couple miles East of his house, but neither seem to be a problem as far as reception goes. We live in Salt Lake City, so there's only the rest of UT and part of CO between us and the clock in Ft. Collins. It seems to keep perfect time (I don't know about the second hand, that doesn't really matter to us) and his home care nurses have even commented on how much they like it. It's totally silent. Even if I put my ear up against it, I can't hear it ticking. (Yes, I have good hearing.) It's very nice looking, clean and sleek, and should go with just about any style of home furnishings. I highly recommend this clock, and if anything changes, I'll come back and update my review.

Good Buy
I've had the 14" inch La Crosse Technology Wall Clock on my wall for about a week. It keeps perfect time and looks good. Best yet it's easy to see and read.

Accurate, Customizable, Easy to Use, Supports Arizona
I bought this clock to replace a malfunctioning (cheaper) wall clock, and I've had a good experience with other La Crosse products in the past so I figured I'd give this a try. I was a little nervous about compatibility -- we live in Arizona, and therefore we don't follow DST. Since it has a switch for setting the time zone, and one of the options was not "AZ", I was concerned I would need to manually adjust my time zone twice a year (half in PT, half in MT). However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that you can simply disable DST via a separate toggle on the back of the clock. It synced as described in the instructions, matching my phone's time down to the second within 10 minutes of turning it on. The kids got a kick out of watching the hands turn "by magic" as it synchronized. It's stayed in perfect sync since we've purchased it. They even allow you to set the time manually in a pinch! I can see this being useful if you live somewhere (or need to place the clock somewhere) where the time signal is too weak to pick up. It highlights the attention to detail and user experience that the designers put into making this product. The only piece of feedback I'd add is that there is no offset functionality. My wife is chronically late, and therefore likes to set her clocks forward by 5 minutes. This is not possible on this clock (or any other atomic clock I know of), so if that's a feature you like, this might not be the clock for you. If, however, you prefer to know the *correct* time when you look at a clock, this clock delivers.

Initial hiccup, works great, worth it
I've used this clock for 10 months, it was my first atomic clock. When I first got it and put in the battery it took some time before receiving signal and set the time correctly - Be patient, you may need to take it outside to receive initial signal, but recommend waiting at least few hours first. Clock reset itself few times in few hours before working correctly. I was happy, however I remembered that within 1-2 week the clock will "spaz" and reset once a while, which I didn't mind except it was few min off - It was really annoying. First few times I think I manually reset, which would correct the time. After a week or two I didn't pay much attention, and it has been keeping accurate time without any intervention. Clock itself is made of plastic but feels sturdy & durable. Faces & numbers are large enough to see clearly, it hangs on the wall above TV in my livingroom. If I recall it does have extra battery compartment, uses 1AA (+1AA for extra if you wish). I've noticed that quartz based clocks have ticks and even some fancy/advanced clocks are not right on the each second spot/position as they tick away, which leads me be believe it's nature of clock design & function. Compared to cheap wall clock I got from walmart/target, it's silent and don't hear any ticking, you might hear ticking sound in quiet room at night - honestly I don't hear any clock ticking when it's silent. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and considering buying more for my rooms. Downside is that it may not work perfectly right away, and may need to reset few times and/or just need to wait a while before it "settles" in.

Very large, easy to read, easy to wall mount Atomic Clock.
The La Crosse Technology Wall Clock, Plastic, 14-inch Dia. (WT-3143A) (WT-3143A-INT) has a wonderfully large, easy to real face. The back is incredibly well designed. It's so much easier to hang than most clocks and it is possible to set the clock manually if you can't position the clock somewhere that it can receive the Atomic clock update signal from Colorado. So far, the clock is extremely accurate.

Great if it receives signal, brick if it doesn't
UPDATE UPDATE: After writing this review, I did contact La Crosse and told them about my useless clock. After admonishing me to change the batteries, move it around, etc., they finally admitted it was defective and sent me a brand new one. Guess what? The new one does the exact same thing. At the recent time shift, it did not shift. I took it down from its east-facing wall location, changed the battery, set it by a window, waited, waited, waited for days. Nothing. It won't change. I suspect that if I drove it to Fort Collins Colorado, from whence the signal originates, and shishkabobed it directly on the mast of the broadcast antenna, it would still not change. Bottom line: It's garbage. I have three or four other atomic clocks in my house and they all adjust fine. Not this one. Good luck. UPDATE: Once again a time change has come and gone with no corresponding change in time on this clock. It has never adjusted while inside my house. My four other atomic clocks -- all located in places that should be more challenging to receive a signal -- update immediately, or by the morning after a battery change or DST adjustment. This one never has. It's out of warranty, so it'll do little good to contact the maker. Total waste of money. It blows my mind that anyone would release a product that basically necessitates timely adjustments -- YOU USE IT TO TELL TIME -- with no workable means of manual adjustment, and the admonition in the manual to wait FOR UP TO FIVE DAYS to let it get around to adjusting on its own. Unfathomably stupid engineering. At least give us a reasonable override! Original review: If you buy this clock, follow the instructions, and the clock receives the signal to set itself, you'll love it. If you don't get the signal, you'll hate it. I have three LaCrosse clocks. Two of them correctly reset themselves for the DST change last week. The third, this one, which I view most often, did not. I got out a stepladder and took it down (the very process I had hoped to avoid by buying the clock in the first place), put in a new battery, set it by the window, spun around three times on my left leg, chanted, etc., and no luck. The biggest flaw with these clocks is that there is NO SIMPLE WAY to adjust the time manually. So if the signal isn't coming in from Colorado for whatever reason, your clock is essentially bricked for days on end. The company says to not even speak to them for support until you've waited five days for the signal to arrive. Who wants to have a clock showing the wrong time for five days? It's stupid not to have a manual override that allows you to simply reset the clock by hand. (There is a process involving a microscopic button; ridiculously complicated.) So, four days after the time change, the clock has not reset and is next to impossible to set by hand. Nice coaster, I guess.

More suited to USA
Time zones USA only which is okay as 12 hours different to WST but does not appear to pick up radio signal. Consider removing from Australian site? Other than that seems to be okay.

Set it and forget it
Best clock I've ever owned. Had to move into south facing window in order to get time set automatically by atomic radio signal, but has been accurate since. Literally hasn't missed a second. Hope it lasts for years to come. Time will tell
