Jebao SLW-30

Worth the money
Great compact powerhead with plenty of water movement for a 90 gallon reef tank. Easy to install and program. Good product

Just stay with their SOW line of wavemakers
I thought I'd give this wannabe Ecotech a shot, but it disappoints. Of course it's nothing like an Ecotech (though Jebao's other products are pretty good including the SOW/RW and predecessors wavemakers and DC pumps, dosing pump, etc.) but it's not even good for what it can do. The most disappointing thing is that the rubber boot that is supposed to go over the magnet is too small and won't stay on. So I had to improvise with the magnets and finally got something to work, but it doesn't give much range of aiming. It's not very powerful either, nothing like an SOW-20. It does have a lower profile, but the tradeoff just isn't worth it for me. About the best thing is it doesn't seem to get blocked by snails as much as the SOWs do. There's not enough room in the pump for them to fit and stop the impeller. I won't be buying another of these. I'll stick to the SOWs and their gyres.

Pump works great, very weak magnet
As title says: the pump produces tons of water movement with minimal sound, but the magnet on the wet side is too weak for a 4ft 120 gallon tank. The suction cup keeps it in place, and the flow it pushes it out keeps it against the glass so it works for me. However, the magnetic dry side slides off or won’t even sit right.
