Q: Does the single monitor mount have a lot of wobble when holding a 49 inch monitor (e.g. CRG90)?

There can be some wobble but it would mainly be from your desk. I mounted my Samsung g9 49" using this on a cheap desk in ordered off Amazon. The 49" along with the 2 34" g5s are pushing my desk to it's limits. I was slightly concerned this mount wouldn't be able to support the weight of the monitor but so far it's held up fine.

Q: Will this fit a Lenovo Legion ultrawide Y44w-10 43.4", and do I need to buy something else to attach it to the stand?

It should. I’m using this with a 43” Samsung ultrawide that’s a couple pounds heavier than yours and I haven’t had any problems. This comes everything you need but maybe you should refer to your monitors manual on how to mount the vesa plate if you’re not sure. Good luck

Q: What vesa mount are you using for the g9…the one it comes with doesn’t fit?

You need to removed the G9 stand completely. Your G9 comes with a round metal bracket that goes where the stand attached to the monitor. You need to mount the round mounting bracket that comes with the G9 to the G9 and attached that to the vesa mount.
