Actually does more than I realised! Great company!

Looks like a great filter to use for my photos and films, but the downside is that they sent the wrong filter size , which most of my lens are 77mm filter size and they sent a 82mm size , come on kandf provide the size for our lens

I own Tiffen's Black Promist 1/8 and 1 so I know of their quality. I thought i'd try this new filter from K&F and I am pleasantly surprised! Very good quality and definitely an alternative of the Pro Mist that people should consider. it renders wonderful images.

Product sent by supplier was wrong, ordered a 77mm and I received a 82mm, I've had to purchase an additional Step Down ring to convert it as I can't return as it'll take too much time. Other than that, I've played around with the filter already and it's a lot of fun and I'm excited to use it in upcoming projects.

Comparable to Tiffin Pro Mist1/4 in respect of performance. Recommended.

Bought the 77mm 1/4 strength diffusion filter for video and photography as I own a few K&F filters and am pretty happy with the cost/quality compromise. The 1/4 strength is strong - really strong. I probably will order and 1/8 strength as it will be more useful. I live in Zambia so it took a long time to get to me (of course), so I was pretty annoyed when I opened the parcel and the box read 77mm but the actual filter is an 82mm... Hmm. Overall a nice product, but just know that the 1/4 effect is STRONG.

I’ll be honest up front, I ordered this mistaking it for an ND filter, I’ve decided to keep this though as I really like the effect it produces. I’ve been getting into landscape photography and wanted an Nd filter but ordered this by mistake, after having a play and wanting to eventually push into portrait I decided to give it a try. The results are surprising good, it adds a nice glow to bright light sources that give the images some warmth. The filter is presented in a lovely case with rubber wedges inside that hold the filter in place so it doesn’t slip around. I can see me using this for product photography and portraits and so far have really enjoyed it Pros - nice glow - gives images a warmer feel - excellent storage case Cons - none ( although keep in mind you may need to adjust exposure times slightly due to very minimal tint )

La K&F mi ha contattato per testare il nuovo filtro Black Mist. E’ un filtro ideato per i video e per dare un tocco “vintage” al risultato finale. In breve: risultato stupendo anche per fotografia. E’ un filtro utile per ritratto o per reportage di paesaggio o storytelling. Non si perde nitidezza e si ottiene una luce molto meno “sparata” e che si espande anche nella zona in ombra. E’ un filtro da usare in fotografia con aperture di diaframma elevate e che “racconta” un atmosfera. Cominciamo però dall’inizio. Packaging/handling: Il filtro oltre alla scatola in plastica è inserito un una custodia a scatto molto resistente e protettiva. Il filtro è a vite (giustamente perché nasce per i videomaker e comunque fino a diametro 82). Avrei preferito una scatola in cartone. Ma la custodia che si può veder in foto (quella rotonda) è molto utile e robusta. Il filtro si presenta resistente e si avvita bene a tutti gli obbiettivi a cui l’ho montato. Recensione tecnica: Non ha particolari dominanti, quindi lascia i colori simili alla foto scattata senza filtro. Ottimo! Non perde luce, non ci si trova a dover aumentare gli Iso quando lo si monta. Ottimo! La nitidezza nei particolari (e qua viene il bello) rimane quasi inalterata. NON si perde nitidezza nelle aree a fuoco anche se non lo userei in fotografia di paesaggio ultradefinita, ma per uno storytelling, outdoor o ritratto ambientato assolutamente si. La messa a fuoco automatica non risente del filtro, almeno non sulla Nikon D750 con lenti fisse. Utilizzo / Effetto: è un filtro che dona un effetto “glow” alle foto, molto particolare soprattutto per video e per ritratti in luce dura o controluce. Le alte luci si abbassano ma senza diventare smorte, inoltre la luce “entra” nelle ombre, regalando un effetto “glow” molto morbido. Ottimo per ritratto o per dare un’atmosfera più sognante, toglie chiarezza all’immagine nelle zone ad alto contrasto. Nelle foto potete vedere un paio di raffronti senza filtro/con filtro, due foto di ritratto ambientato e quello che vi arriva. Risultato in breve: è un filtro che non pensi possa entrare nel tuo corredo, ma quando ci entra ha un risultato talmente particolare che lo proveresti in ogni situazione. Assolutamente da provare!

Der Filter passt perfekt auf das Gewinde meines Objektivs, sitzt sauber und sicher, ohne zu klemmen oder zu wackeln.
