Q: Sometimes the led blinks rapidly for several seconds and does not open. What is a reason for that rapid blinking?

Next time it does that blinking count the number of seconds it blinks. This sensor does not blink rapidly unless it is powering up. Maybe you Have it wired wrong?

Greetings. Yes, a single REX (Request to Exit) detector will cover a set of double doors. You can mount this device directly in the middle of the double doors for maximum detection or on one side. It covers a 10 foot perimeter. Thanks

Hello, The unit operates on the 12 or 24 volts from the mag lock and operates fairly well. I have blown out a couple but we have extremely high traffic.

Q: Can I just use the exit button without the sensor?

An exit button will work independently but you may want to see what the local code requires. In many cases a request for exit motion detector and an exit button are required.
