The No-Homework Women's Bible Study: Group Hug

My friends and I use this weekly for virtual Bible study. It is very interactive. We enjoy learning more about the word of God while learning more about each other at the same time.

Started our first Bible study with 10-12 women at church. Ages 26-80. It is working out great. As the teacher of this Bible study, I do have to do additional research. However, this Bible study book is a great guide to have for our first Bible study.

A unique study for a variety of groups. Written for younger military wives who need to enter groups and know each other quickly in a faith based group, it worked for our older ,more stable group. An "in-between our more in-depth studies" it was a relaxed, enjoyable interlude. More personal, more conversational and still Bible based. We learned a lot about each other and ourselves, and shared ideas on the various topics. The only chapter that didn't apply to us seniors was the "Managing Your Wieght" chapter, and we just ignored the wieght part (too old to stress over body image st this stage of life) and had a good discussion about eating right and being healthy in general, as we are 4 nurses in a group of 12. Lots of laughs and good information shared. Very easy to lead, so it gave our two co-facilitators a much needed break.

I did this series for my Wednesday night ladies class and it is great!!!! It will build lots of great dialog and friendships. I do caution the leader of the class, you need to be skilled in guiding conversations and knowing when to reign in your ladies. If you already have these skills it's a great book study, if you don't I would reccomend co teaching with someone who does just incase the conversations need guiding. Some of the topics can be very personal and while it's been great, emotions have ran high. It is perfect for the 30-something mom that needs some adult time!

These bible studies are great. I have a small lunch-time women's bible study group and the lessons are perfect. They offer lots of areas for discussion but are simple and easy to fit into our lunch time. Since there is no homework, I am able to issue a challenge for the ladies to do through the week that relates to the topic of that week's discussion. Really love it.

I purchased all 3 books - her ice breakers are cohesive forming questions/games. Her suggested timing for each section of study is appropriate. Her books are not deep study but I find them useful for binding a group of individuals together and fostering a level of comfort for honestly sharing. I have recommended them to other women ministries.

If your looking for a bible study that will be great for women who's time is precious this is a good bible study

We have been using this book for our women's small group bible study that meets weekly. Even though we have all known each other for years, we are learning new things about each other with this book. The lessons have you discuss area's of your life and it has been extremely helpful to us.

A delighful group study book, especially for those who are new to study.
