Brilliant finish!
I truly didn't know what to expect from the second book in this duet. In this book we get a glimpse into the aftermath of what went down in book one, and I think this author did an amazing job!I appreciated that she didn't make it all sunshine and roses, and she gave us a realistic take on the situation. Will's addiction gets hinted at and book one, but we see it in full force with this book. I really love what the author gave us in this book, how she builds up the relationship, helped them grow to know each other on a deeper level, and learned how to truly survive as a couple. As with the first book, the narration on the audio was amazing! The female narrator truly helped me grasp the emotions of these characters and considering it's a highly emotional book, I appreciated that.

The finale to the a bittersweet duet
Well, first there was sweet, then there was sour. The 1st book in this series is really a sweet take on Charley's and Will's love. This 2nd book really fleshes out why they did what they did and how their upbringing especially Will's really affected their adult lives. If you prefer to have the sweeter take on their romance, then stop at book 1. Just know that they do get their HEA in book 2.This book takes a not so jice, very angst deep dive into their past and at times it becomes frustrating. In addition there are secrets revealed about Will that does take away from his sweet loveable image from book 1.I felt that there was not enough time given to really show that past mistakes would not reoccur and because of this I felt that their relationship was really very codependent. I mean, it really works for them but at the end of the day it isn't healthy. As I said before, they do get their HEA, and now I'm off to read Drew's story! I really do love Q B Tyler's writing style. The depth, the angst, the steam, the love, all of it!!

A good 3.5 stars!
This one was a bit of a change from book one. It took me weeks to get through but I finally pushed through today and so glad I did! They got their HEA and boy did they work HARD for it!! The way the story twisted and turned keep me on my toes but I felt they were WAY codependent, to the point I started counting the amount of “I love you’s” I heard. A bit needy that turned my off a smidge but over all made sense I guess. All in all a decent end to their story. I REALLY liked book one much better but this one had a ton of smüt too that kept me hot 🥵 under the collar so there is that! Still way worth the read. I loved the concept and how Q.B. Tyler weaves a major taboo story together and makes it right. Kind of like Sam Marino makes you love the absolute psychopath of a anti-hero by the end of his story. It’s a talent and I’m here for it!

Worth 50 Stars!
I have loved and enjoyed all of QB Tyler’s books, but Bittersweet Addiction (and its prequel) is my favorite, topping my re-read list yet again. The issues that Will and Charley delve into with this second book make their relationship mimic reality. It becomes even more real and complicated and messy like one would expect. You can still feel the romance and passion between the characters. But you also get to see some of those skeletons emerge from Will’s closet, and it truly had me feeling worried on occasion. It brings up Will’s past with his childhood and feelings of inadequacy, his relationship with his parents and his brother, his ‘hidden’ struggles with alcohol, and you finally begin to fully understand the character of Dr. William Montgomery. The repercussions of Will and Charley’s affair come full circle, but yet each chapter was suspenseful, captivating and surprising.QB Tyler’s ability to bring the reader front and center and make you feel like an integral part of this dramatic and volatile story is so freakin’ fantastic. I can only sit here and beg for more, and hope one day Will and Charley make a re-appearance.This book (and it’s prequel) is a MUST READ, but make sure you have nothing else planned because you will not want to put it down. Buy both books, you won’t be sorry – it’s just that good!!!

Sexy
This was a great ending to a spicy story of forbidden love. I enjoyed that Charley was stronger and had done some serious growing of her own. There were a couple of times I wanted to shake Will. But on a whole I enjoyed their story.

That’s it. This was every bit as good if not better than the first! I absolutely loved Charley and Will’s story. ❤️

Thought it was going to be better..
I was really hoping for more. I didn't like the way the book weren't from real time to thoughts. The flow and timeline for confusing and tbh I skipped a lot of pages. The main characters did not make me believe they were in love. I thought it was more infatuation. Also the trauma they experienced only seemed like sympathies to make you want to root for them not actual character development. Some of the actions were super irrational and the tension between the family felt thin. They both read as really hot though but I couldn't picture more than a generic version based on description. Not my favorite but I'm trying to expand to more authors and this is about the 2nd or 3rd book that left me underwhelmed. It does have the whole whirlwind romance going for it though!

Part two
Ughhhh we carry on with Will and Charley in this book, when I was reading book one (Bittersweet Surrender) I was thinking how can this be made into two books. But it was evident at the end of the last book that we had a lot to learn about Will.We hear from Will’s POV throughout this book, which is such a big insight that I missed loads in book one. However, if we had it in book one it would have spoilt things.Charley and Will need to make a decision whether or not the come clean, and during this book there love is really tested.I really don’t want to say too much as it’ll ruin it. But I definitely recommend reading this duet.

5 addictive stars!
Bittersweet addiction is the conclusion to Will and charleys story. It follows on from the trials and tribulations these two go through as they work to build a future together. With a family to win over, a bitter ex husband, and Wills career on the line, they have alot going on.And Will has a secret. One that could destroy all the progress they've made together. The angst, the passion and the love was all I could feel whilst reading this book. Two people who risk it all. There is blame and guilt to work through, and the insecurities from both their pasts, but i wanted nothing but for these two to get their HEA after all the ups and downs they go through. The marriage counselor and the patient, who would have ever thought it?! 😉

Loved it!
I bloody loved this series! The taboo relationship, the risk and the spice were incredible. Going to a marriage councillor to try save your marriage but end up meeting the love of your life. Well, that story definitely puts you on the edge of your seat. I couldn’t put it down once I started. The excitement of their new relationship and the fear of being caught out, not only by the husband but the ethics board. Definitely one to read if you like spicy, taboo romances with the excitement and fear of losing everything you’ve worked for.

Another good read !!!
This is the second book and the conclusion to Bittersweet Surrender. It follows straight on from the last book and I did enjoy the story once again but not as much as the first book. Great writing as usual from this author but I felt it was a little repetitive in places and once again there was some great sex, very sensual and hot but just way too much of it. The story held itself and yes of course it needed some really good sex in it but honestly - it was overload and I NEVER moan about sex in a book !!This book for me was predominantly focused on Will Montgomery this time round. His past which is now affecting his future and his relationship with Charlotte and how he deals with it to try to make it better. Again lots of different emotions swirling around pulling at your heart strings not knowing where this story will take you. Characters were written really well and came across good. All in all I have really loved this series and would definitely recommend it to read. I am so enjoying this authors work at the moment !!
