Den Deckenventilator haben wir uns aufgrund der guten Bewertungen und der versprochenen geringen Lautstärke für das Schlafzimmer gekauft, da es bei uns im Hochsommer im Dachgeschoss mehr als 30 Grad werden können.Die Installation ist ziemlich einfach, wenn man nicht gerade zwei linke Hände hat. Man sollte aber unbedingt darauf achten, dass der Ventilator gut an der Decke angeschraubt wird (keine Billigdübel verwenden!), da er erwartungsgemäß doch einiges auf die Waage bringt.Tatsächlich hört man nur ein sehr leises und uns nicht störendes Summen auf niedrigster Stufe. Der Wind, der einem um die Nase weht, lässt sogar etwas Urlaubsfeeling am Strand aufkommen :-) Optisch gesehen fügt sich der Ventilator sehr gut in unser Schlafzimmer ein (wir verwenden die Seite mit der Holzmaserung nach unten gerichtet).Nun nach einige Monaten ist der Ventilator immer noch sehr leise, aber alle paar Sekunden mischt sich ein leises und kurzes Klackern dazu, was aber immer noch gut vertretbar ist und das Einschlafen nicht verhindert.Insgesamt kann ich den Deckenventilator sehr empfehlen, insbesondere was das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis angeht. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass es hier etwas günstigeres und besseres auf dem Markt gibt.

Nous avons profité d'une vente flash pour en installer un par chambre, car, pendant la canicule, nous avons tous eu du mal à dormir. Il n'est pas cher (surtout en vente flash...), le moteur est garanti 10 ans, il est réversible été/hiver, et silencieux. Certes, le look est quelque peu "rétro", mais il a l'air solide, éclaire bien et fait le job. Il est un peu long à monter, mais une fois qu'on a compris, évidemment ça va plus vite ! Bref, c'est un très bon rapport qualité-prix.

The item had several QC stickers but I wonder if any of then really were executed, screws were missing and the motor were making a rather unpleasant and worrying electric buzzing sound that made it impossible to use it where it was needed the most, in the bedroom. It was possible to assemble the unit even with the lack of 5 screws but I mean, really? 5 missing screws? That's not quality. Im hesitant to buy another westinghouse ceiling fan again but im also not sure of what else to go with.

L' ho comprato per la camera da letto, è molto silenzioso e avendo proprio il letto sotto di esso già ad 1 trovo giovamento nelle caldissime estati! Anche il montaggio molto semplice. Ottimo acquisto che mi ha permesso di riposare bene senza condizionatore, lo trovo anche molto carino esteticamente e si intona con la camera!

The fan is very quiet in operation, at least at speeds 1 & 2 and the remote control is simple to operate - simple enough to use in the dark if required. If the wall switch is turned on, then the light automatically illuminates, but the fan does not automatically come on (where a remote is installed), which is a useful feature. The whole unit looks attractive and despite a couple of niggles described below I would recommend it.The remote control unit is not supplied with batteries (2 x AA) and the battery contacts are a bit flimsy, but the overall construction is sturdy.I installed the fan in my bedroom which has a sloped ceiling and the ball joint in the suspension unit will accommodate slopes up to about 30 degrees from horizontal. To do this, I needed a 300 mm extension rod to prevent the fan blades from being too close to the ceiling. This lowers the fan unit by an additional 200 mm, but the supplied wiring loom extension is a little too long and the extra wiring needs to be tucked inside the ceiling dome.Although the remote control is a considerable advantage, the controller power unit (about the size of a pack of cards) sits inside the ceiling dome, taking up all of the free space and leaving no room for a ring main junction block (not supplied). If you have a concrete ceiling you will probably need an additional junction box to house the ring main wiring (if installed). If you don't have the remote control, then there is probably room to fit the junction block within the dome.The instructions are delightfully vague, being keen to describe everything in 26 languages rather than use good pictograms to be understood by all. It took me about 4 hours to install, but a good portion of that time was in sorting out the ring main. I would recommend fitting the fan blades before installing the motor unit - much easier to do it on the ground rather than from a step ladder. Make sure that the connector blocks are pushed fully home to click, otherwise the connection is not made.
