I would rate 5 if not for the wick. I have an old ‘20’s ronson lighter that I used this kit for. The wick sucked putting on. Get a wick that has a wire end so that its easier to rewick. I had to tie copper wire around it and pull it through but it took quite some time. My lighter also uses a flint wheel clutch, so be sure to check and see if yours needs one too. Outside of that, the quality of the flint, wick, and cotton seems good. love that it comes with plenty of extra flint.EDIT: Nevermind, the wick is great. no issues 5 stars lol, the wick is my error and I found an easy way to do it.

This kit is a wonderful gift for the zippo aficionado in your life it allows you to maintain your zippo. Also wonderful for anyone looking to restore a classic zippo. Highly recommend will definitely buy again at some point.

The kit itself is great, but the plates are of dubious value, I haven't done a scientific test but I certainly haven't noticed an increase in the time I can leave it sit before I have to fill. The parts were great, it even worked on my ebay slim zippo knock off.

Everything i expected

Excellent deal, far cheaper than spending five times as much for individually-wrapped flints, wicks, etc. at the tobacco shop.

Wicks aren't the greatest....

This kit provides every part that one might need to bring your old lighter back to life. I have my dad's old lighter, it is in great condition but a bit worn out. With this I can restore it to like-new condition. I do not smoke, but I believe I will be lighting my campfires for many years.
