Beautiful carved design, the size is just what I was looking for to hold my misc documents.

I needed a half decent wooden box of specific dimensions for a last minute St. Patricks day treasure hunt for kids that wasn’t too ridiculous price wise and this box was the only one I could find in my rush that met my needs. For $20 dollars it is what it is: a wooden box that is hastily crafted and mass produced. Normally I’d be fine with that and move on, but even at $20 there were some noteworthy issues, concerns, and repair requirements.Cosmetically, one of the first things I noticed before I even opened the box was that the lid of the box doesn’t sit flush with the bottom half of the box and on one side there is a very noticeable quarter inch gap.On the bottom of the box, two corners on one side were damaged and splintered and this required me to sand those corners down.By the two back hinges, there is noticeable wood cracking starting to radiate outwards towards the wood staples used.Upon opening, one section of the inner box was completely separated and required me to wood glue it back together.And finally, the velvet material they used in the inner bottom and top sections were absolutely loaded with sawdust. I did my best to vacuum as much as possible out but in the end I had to use tape and just dab at it as the wood particles were imbedded into the material. There is also a wood staple that was incorrectly applied and completely missed its mark that can almost be entirely seen from inside the box (this could explain the cracking by the outside hinges).For $20 it is what it is and I needed the box for a treasure hunt. In almost any other circumstance I would have returned the box and moved on, but I need it, so here I am. For any curious potential buyers be advised that the product you’re considering is hastily crafted and mass produced. Don’t expect a family heirloom, a gorgeous jewelry box worthy of being passed down generation to generation, or even a box that will last decades with daily use. It’s a $20 box.That said, even at $20, I shouldn’t have had to patch it up, sand the corners, and clean the insides of whats supposedly a bran new box, so for that reason I’m forced to give it 2 stars.

I got this box for my son's girlfriend so she can keep the letters he sends from the Marine Corps. She cried when I gave it to her full of pictures and letters he sent home for her. The box itself is beautiful. It's well made and hopefully will last a lifetime. Get it. You'll love it. :)

This is a very giftable item. I bought this for my son and he really liked it. It doesn't look cheap and the detail is nice. I would like to order one for myself now.☺️

This is a very nice box. My only complaint is that the carving in the picture is much more detailed than the carving on the box I received. It’s nice...they should just use a pic of the actual box they ship. A buyer should never be disappointed in a beautiful piece just because the picture looks better. With a legit pic a buyer would still buy and would have no complaints about craftsmanship.

Not what was pictured but still very beautiful. I just wish the tree had more detail, it doesn’t really look like a tree of life but just a regular tree. The size is perfect not too small at all. I bought this as a gift for my sister so I hope she likes it!

This box has a consistent wood grain throughout. The etching of the tree is done beautifully. There is not a handle or indentation to open it, you grasp firmly to separate the top and bottom. There are 2 secure hinges on the back to hold the lid when open. The interior was finished very well with a slight lip for the lid to fit.I purchased this as a jewelry box for a man. The lid is tight fitting and is probably optimal for holding items or products that you don't want to have light or air. This will do that for that purpose. However, because I wanted a lighter touch to open it, I use a nail file to soften the tight fitting that this provides.It looks great on the dresser in a man's bedroom.
