great read, I loved it.
OMG Robyn Carr is a Master storyteller. I absolutely LOVED this story. She just takes a couple of every day people, gives them a few situations to work their way through and gets a HEA for everyone. No one does it better! This story was great. It is now 3 a.m. and I just finished. There was no way I could stop until I got to the end, there was too much going on and I had to see what came next.Clare is the mother of a teen age boy. She is divorcing his father, a cheating guy that just cannot keep it in his pants. He has a lot of good qualities but his cheating is wrecking Clara's self-worth. The last straw was catching him in their bed with a blond. Fortunately, sister Maggie is a very successful lawyer so she works her magic on Clara's behalf. Clara is almost killed in a car wreck the same night she catches her husband. Oh well, this all gets very complicated. You just have to read it. there are 3 sisters and each one of them has a big part in the story. There are teen age kids that get their fair share of time. These gals all have a tremendous sense of humor and it comes through in the story telling. You will love the heroes. There are several. You are just rooting for the Coach all through the book, you want him to win!!! And then there is Sam, what a guy, you just want the best for him and his own woman to love. Life is good for Sam. I just loved this story. I am sure I will think of these characters for a long time. GREAT read. I don't how anyone could give this less than a 5 star review. it just doesn't get any better than this.I highly recommend this story. It is about every day people with every day problems and concerns. There is no bad guy, no drug cartel, no shoot 'em up scenes. Just life and any family. GREAT, GREAT read.I was not paid for this review. I am not an author nor do I know one. I am not kin to this writer. I am a reader and this is just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

A slow start for a truly wonderful novel.
Robyn Carr has written a wonderful novel about the bond between sisters and the process of moving on and moving forward when life has suddenly changed course on you.Maggie, Claire, and Sarah are three sisters whose personalities and life circumstances couldn't be more different from one another. Yet, they are the best of friends and all share a tight bond with their father, George. While this novel begins with Claire and focuses on her as the main character, the others in her life, including her chronic cheating ex-husband, her son, her sisters, her father, her friends are just as prominent a focus throughout the book.Robyn Carr has a gift for character development and emerging several different plotlines together while pulling them apart and bringing them together again allowing her to weave a wonderful and very true to life book that will satisfy almost any reader.Initially, I felt the book had a bit of a slow start, but it picked up quickly and was one I only put down to eat or walk my dog. The characters were so real I hated for the book to end and wished they lived just down thee street to keep up with where they head next.A heartwarming and genuine novel, one of Robyn Carr's stand alone stories, I definitely recommend.

A very good heart-warming story.
What a sweet story about three sisters at different points in their lives. All of them are strong willed women, but they have their own trials and tribulations to get through, in order to finally find their HEA. The three characters as well as all of the others involved with this story, are all three dimensional and so credible that I felt like they were so real. I felt their emotions, the hurt, the mistrust, their sadness, and especially their happiness. It takes a strong man to raise 3 daughters on his own...I should know since we have three daughters and there are two of us..... so I have to give a big Kudo's to their father, George, in this story for being so strong and composed enough to let his daughters spread their wings and fly. As any good parent will tell you; all you can do is hope that the life lessons you gave them while they were young, hopefully will shine through in the end. Most children will make a few mistakes in life, but hopefully they learn from those mistakes and make better and more informed ones the next time around.

Powerful and thought-provoking
I loved meeting these 3 sisters. They are all cool and yet very different from each other! Maggie is the married sister who is a lawyer and appears to be the most with it! Sarah is the baby at 33 who is just starting to realize that she wants more out of life. Clare has decided that she can't take her husband's fooling around any more. Then she is almost killed in an accident. How they all handle the trials that come their way is impressive. The pace is more leisurely, the tone is hopeful and the storyline is character oriented with some steamy scenes but not extensive detail. The characters are vibrant and endearing. There are more than the 3 main characters, and all are very well developed. This is a very well written and plotted story. Prepare to be drawn in! Enjoy!

95% fantastic.
Loved it till the end. To much of a quick close. How about Bob Nd Maggie and their girls and cancer friend? We readers want answers to all leftOpen. What about Sam's daughter? Would have liked another chapter for closure.

A pretty good read
I'm definitely a fan of Robyn Carr and will read anything she has written but, having said that, this is not one of her best efforts in my opinion. As always, Ms. Carr is worth reading but don't expect this to equal her Virgin River or Grace River series.

What a fabulous find!
This is a lovely book, lots of laughter, passion, energy and drama. The McCarthy sisters are a fun bunch and their strength and love of life and family make the men that come into their orbit mesmerising. I loved Clare's strength, Sarah's makeover and wildness and Maggie's seriousness. The romances are fabulous too. Wonderful writing, wonderful read. This is the first time I've read a Robyn Carr book and I'm sure it will be the first of many.

Never too late book review.
It was an easy read and realistically romantic. The characters were believable and relatable. Second chances are possible.

Fun
I really enjoyed the way the story progressed. The prose was fluid, realistic, believable. I tumbled into disappointment when 2 sex scenes were laboriously, endlessly described. They were unnecessary, added nothing, & for me intruded into what should have a private, beautiful moment. Loved the sisters , their frienship tempered by being sisters! Worth reading, fun with feeling.
