Good read
Good adventure novel. The footnotes at the end of the book make very interesting reading about the history of Poland.

Easy reading war drama
A novel about the very early part of WW2 in Poland went along quite easily. Didn't really get any intensity about the perilous situation the characters were in.

A Good Read
I really enjoyed the book which had a good story line with lot's of action and suspense within it and I wanted it to continue and look forward to reading another of the authors books. I give the book a star rating of 4.

Meh!
Only half way through and really may not finish. The whole premise of british soldiers parachuting into poland in 1939 just seems a bit too far fetched. The writing style is uninspuring and rather simple and things happen that have no real impact on the story line such as the boy falling into the river.Well I finished but I found this very easy to put down. There are lots of inconsistencies such as in one paragraph they are 40 miles from Danzig and in the next 4 miles. Time seems to be transient. There is no tension created by the pursuit by the SS who just seem to give up and disappear at the end.Not a very great read I’m afraid.
