Does the job. App for phone is not intuitive. Very poorly written.
Does the job but the app for iPhone is very poorly written making it confusing to use.

Lovely experience
Had some concerns about the controller regarding compatibility and serviceability if bought in Europe, but the team behind Yardian, Aeon Matrix, answered all my queries. I was quite satisfied with their communication, so decided to purchase, as I was in the market for something like this.Device works as designed, no issues connecting it to wifi, updating or controlling. It was added to HomeKit without any issues. All works as advertised, and so far, no regrets.Bought together with Yardian Pro in bundle, and couldn't be happier.

Easy to install
I needed this for my outdoor garden. It protects my entire system and has a great motion detector. It’s easy to install and easy to use. Overall a great product with value for the money.

Cheap plastic. Not totally weatherproof and worthless security loop for lock m
I regret buying this. The good does not outweigh the bad. But hopeful the manufacturer can rewrite the app and remedy most of this fiasco.GOODThe controller has an ethernet port AND a wifi connector. If both are connected the ethernet is the primary and the wifi is the backup. That's smart!During the initial setup I pinpointed my location on the map and the app was smart enough to find my Ambient Weather Station and is now using it for adjusting my watering needs. That's smart!BADLow quality contacts for connecting the zone valves; 16ga solid copper wires fall out. After a half hour of cussing and fussing I figured out the old controller had slightly flattened the bare wire and it was too thin for the yardian to grasp. So I cut off the ends and bared a half inch of virgin copper and it worked much better, but not well.Number tags are worthless; they fall off. Use masking tape & a marker to save yourself from the stupid tiny number tags and the nightmare of discovering your values again.Installation instructions are almost non-existent. It just says "connect sprinkler wires". No guidance on how much wire to strip, which "C" contact to use, etc. It's not rocket science, but you're on your own!Android app was created by an apple developer, which is NOT a good thing. The navigation and layout is terrible. Example, you cannot press and hold on something to act on it, instead you must tap on an arrow or dots and find a deeper menu or more menus with the actions you want. Then you must back-arrow your way out. Very apple oriented.App in general poorly designed/organized. Configuration is at the top and left most tabs. Yes, you use that first when installing,,, but for the rest of the life of the device you now need to scroll past it to see the daily info (temps, rainfall, etc) zones and water usage, and for control of the device. Totally backwards. Amateur developer mistake. On the "my yard" screen, it doesn't have any indicators of what is running. Another amateur mistake.Fields are sometimes unlabeled. Example, in "sharing" there's a field with no help and no label. I assume it is looking for an email address, but who knows? There's a place to upload a picture for each zone, but nothing at the device level to upload a picture. This would have been the best place to upload a map of your yard indicating the zones. I don't need a pic of the shrub in zone 4, I want something that is useful for my gardener or my house sitter. There is a water usage chart per zone and per controller and labeled "gallons", but no place to configure water flow rate per zone, so what is showing is absolute junk.If the controller can scan and find valves, then it should be smart enough (using same technology!) to show when a valve quits and has an open circuit.... and then send me an alert. It does NOT do this as far as I could determine. I disconnected a valve, ran a full cycle of the yard and no messages, no errors.WiFi Onboarding process for Android did NOT match the user manual. No home page app widget(s) for phone or tablet. (maybe another apple developer shortfall?). I'd really like to have one widget displaying what is happening, errors, online status, another widget for control, a third widget for rain history, and forecast. Instead, you must either dig through the clumsy app or walk outside to the controller and yard to see what's gong on.There is the saddest and thinnest loop to attach a lock on the Weatherproof box. This is my 3rd controller (and most expensive) in 28 years... And the only one with just a thin plastic loop. I will need to waste a weekend inventing a REAL lock for this.

Unclear and lacks compatibility
The holes below don’t take cable pipes in. No clear instructions specifying those details on the product. While the price is 39$, a leaflet to specify the instructions would have saved hours for us. Really time consuming finally wasting my whole day to shop for the fitting pipe. While I ordered I read everything on the details but when I got it waste of whole day.
