Small But Mighty Digital Recorder That Has It All!
I needed a reliable recorder and this delivers.First off, it’s compact and has a satisfying weight—not too heavy, but it doesn’t feel like one drop would turn it into junk. It’s the Goldilocks of recorders: just right. The buttons, while a bit of a mystery at first, are clear and well-placed. I’ll admit, I skipped the instructions (who hasn’t?) but after a little trial and error, the setup was surprisingly intuitive. Having MP3 as an option is a game-changer. It’s such a simple feature, but it makes life easier. The microphone quality is also excellent. Even when recording in a slightly noisy environment, the sound was crisp and clear. Plus, the battery life is impressive—it just keeps going, even after hours of recording. It’s not perfect, though—getting the hang of the buttons took me a few tries, and that’s coming from someone who tinkers with tech regularly. But honestly, if you take five minutes to read the manual (unlike me), you’ll probably have no issues. All in all, this recorder reliable, easy to carry, and feels like it’s built to last. I’d highly recommend it. It’s the kind of tool you didn’t know you needed until you have it—and now I can’t imagine being without it.

Does exactly what I need to do, has been reliable and audio quality is okay.
Pros of this device:- It is lightweight and fits nicely in the hand.- The construction feels sturdy, I think it is aircraft aluminum.- There are nice clear instructions, and labels on the back of the recorder- You can password protect your recordings- The audio quality of recordings is quite nice. Note: played through the speakers of the device itself you don't get the full range of sound quality- It is easy to hook up to a computer or cellphone with a USB-C cable (included) and charge the recorder or transfer data from AND to your recorder.- The display is nice and easy to navigate. It might take a bit to familiarize yourself with the buttons, but they are highly intuitive.- There are lots of settings, including equalizer presets that do make the audio sound better, especially if played through a headset or external speaker.-The battery life is off the charts good, and if you do charge it then it takes no time at all to get fully charged.Cons of this device:- Not sure if password protecting the device encrypts the data on the removable microSD card. I would need to verify this before placing into the pro category- Although there is a speaker supposedly on the front of the device. The speaker/driver is somewhere in the middle and it feels like the audio is pushed down maybe through a channel. The quality of the speaker is okay, and with equalizer presets it sounds better, but this not for audiophiles.- When using a 3.5mm input or external headphones or speakers, the ports can be finicky. This is not exclusive to this device but it is something to consider. You might spend a minute or two fooling around with the plug to get audio in or out.- If you go from the device being off to turning it on. There is a delay of 15-20 seconds as it boots to be able to record. You can leave it on and it doesn't use a lot of battery, but if you turn it off and on, you have to wait for boot and if you have password, you cannot use it before entering the password. Something to keep in mind for those who need to record quickly.- This records in different audio formats, but if you import music it prefers WAV files although an MP3 will work, you may have to navigate to it manually through the file browser, whereas WAV files will show up as MUSIC in the music folder and AUDIO if put in the audio folder. Conclusion: I use this device to record reminders, song ideas, writing ideas, etc. I use an AI program to convert the audio to text and organize it. It works really well for that. The audio is crystal clear when imported into my computer and it is high quality with good highs and lows. I would definitely recommend this to people looking for a recorder. I would have like to have the option to view text or maybe song covers, but it is what it is and it does exactly what it says it does.

Works well; High value; Manual not clear; Have a few questions
My first impression of the Garmay TF32 is very positive. Things works as I expect. The feel is solid and well-finished. The buttons are well arranged. The menus are well organized and in color, which helps readability. The included removable microSD is a nice touch. I’ve made only a few recordings, but they are clear and satisfactory. All in all, I like it a lot.I’ll mention a few items where it might be even better.First, there are many settings, but the manual is very basic, and the print is very small. Fewer typos and misspellings, a more typical American or British use of language and tone, and more detail would help. The YouTube video is a good idea, but the text there could be improved also.Second, I don't know if it records voice in stereo. The two shiny protrusions at the top certainly suggest stereo microphones, but in every situation when I'm recording live voice, both L and R lines on the volume meters move identically, even when the sound is coming from only one side.Third, I don't know if it has automatic volume control during recording ; the "record sensitivity" menu item offers only a set of 7 fixed levels.Fourth, I’m not clear what the "sound control sensitivity" setting does.Fifth … a minor point … the charging connector is microUSB, not USB-C. It works fine, but that connector style is somewhat out of date. All in all … a very good product at a very good price point.

Great rechargeable recorder, but a bit heavy to hold
I've used the recorder a few times and I am satisfied with the quality. I was surprised at how heavy it is to hold. I suppose, that's because it has a rechargeable battery. It is about the same weight as a cellphone. Not buying batteries is a big plus, but you are limited by needing a usb cord for charging and needing to remember to charge it up. I haven't used it long enough to judge the life of the battery charges. It was easy to use the first time. My voice picked up well and clearly.A feature not found on some recorders is button labeling on the back. That will probably wear off, but by then the user should be able to remember what button does what. That feature is certainly nice to have while learning the ins and out of this recorder.Since I've only had it a short while, I can't speak to the longevity, but it is a convenient size that can easily slip into a shirt pocket, purse etc. It is about 1.5 wide and about as long as my fingers and can be easily held in my hand. With my short time useage, I'm pleased.
