The various kids all liked the book with the fun, bright art, and the birthday party theme, and the parents of the kids all liked the book because it sneaks in good information about the planets and the solar system. This book is particularly wonderful because it doesn't talk down to kids while giving them a lot of scientific information. It's presented in a fun, warm way, with all the planets talking and planning a party for the sun, and the story weaves in up to date solar system science! I really liked the idea that the sun's gravitational pull is what holds all the planets together in a warm and happy community. Perfect book for those who like to teach a few things while still providing a positive message. Gorgeous and fun illustrations too!

This story of the solar system is so funny and informative, it should berequired reading for kids. I loved the different planet personalities, andthe illustrations are beautiful. A great story--highly recommended!
