absolutely love using this scalp massager! I actually bought it in a set together with the regular Tangle Teezer brush, and the color is incredibly beautiful. To be honest, it felt a little bit painful the first few times since my scalp wasn't used to it, but now it feels amazing and super relaxing. I can literally feel the blood rush and circulation improving every time I use it. My absolute favorite way to use it is in the shower with shampoo. Unlike those cheap silicone scalp massagers that always get stuck, tangle, and pull on your hair, this brush glides smoothly and reaches directly to the scalp without any tugging. It cleanses so well and feels like a luxury spa experience. Highly recommend!

I love that this is easy to hold. It does occasionally slip out of my grip, but not out of my hand. I love how clean it makes my scalp feel without ripping out my hair or hurting my head. Gives a great scalp massage when I have dry hair as well. Helps my flakes get off of my head better and not have fallout. I have curly hair, so I only brush it once a week after my wash day. This is perfect for removing dead skin so great so it doesn’t look like I have dandruff on day 4 and on. I don’t have dandruff but without daily brushing the normal dry skin doesn’t remove from my hair. I love this brush. It is also slightly curved so it actually makes contact with the whole brush and not just the middle. It is perfect for using with shampoo so I can thoroughly clean my roots. It is also great at dispersing oils for my pre poo treatment and scalp care. Amazing! Will definitely buy more just for extras. One for the car, one for my camping gear, one for my gym bag. I tend to lose things, so having multiple is my preference.

I decided to give it a try. It works surprisingly well. I have less dandruff after using it every time I shampoo. Fair warning. You may loose a TON of hair the first time since it is getting the dead stuff off. Ladies, if you have longer locks or if you're hair tangles easily, do not follow the directions of massaging in circles. I had some bad knots afterwards. Instead, I use the massager like I would if I was combing my hair. That feels good and keeps the knots away.

I have been struggling with a dandruff problem for some time. I've been trying all the shampoos with salicylic acid, zinc, sulfur, name-brand, and natural. I tried letting them sit on my scalp for a few minutes to work, I used a regular shampoo brush (think the silicone finger things) scrubs made a mess etc. Nothing was working. My head would itch. Flakes would fall, and I found a scab or two. Although I shower every day and wash my hair every 2-3 days, seeing the flakes and feeling the itch made me feel gross. Enter this scrubby thing. I have used it ONE TIME and it felt amazing while using it! It felt like it was truly exfoliating my scalp. I hit all the spots that have been bothering me and wow! Immediately I thought to myself "Worth the $10!" Which by the way I was hesitant to spend $10 on this. It feels like a very durable material and although I don't anticipate anything happening to it I would 100% purchase again! I don't see any flakes or scabs, my scalp feels amazing! If you need help in this area and are contemplating purchasing this, please do, your scalp will thank you.

TLDR - 9/10 I’m really glad I bought this. Doesn’t pull the hair like some silicone ones do. Pros - Doesn't snag my hair like some silicone scalp brushes or massagers do - 2 types of bristles, ones that are thicker and less flexible, and ones that are slightly longer and thinner and are a little more flexible but still adequate for firm messaging. - Lightweight and no nonsense - I prefer this “pocket” style hand holding than the tab / “door knob” style hand holding Cons - I wish that tabs that fold over to create the “pocket” style hand hold were a little longer and held your hand into the brush a little better - the shorter, thicker, firmer bristles are only on the two ends of the brush, and I wish there were more even dispersed throughout the whole brush - I haven’t tried to detangle with this brush, my hair is only 4-5 inches long and doesn’t get tangled but I used to have 3.5 - 4 foot long hair and just based on my experience thus far with this brush, I don’t see this as a useful detangler tool Overview - I’m really happy that I got this brush. It’s the third brush I’ve purchased that falls under “scalp exfoliator” and it’s by far the best one. If you’re debating on purchasing yet another brush in hopes of finding one you like, give this one a shot. I like it a whole lot.

For people like me whose scalp has become very itchy in my 70s, I think due to an overgrowth of sebum, this product is very helpful. (I do not have flaky dandruff.) It helps to relieve the itching by evening up the patches on my scalp. Be sure to do use it often to keep the itching under control. For the longest time, I was completely unaware of scalp brushes and how they help. It's hard to find a shampoo that really helps by itself. I've probably had the most luck with T-Fal by Neutrogena. I used Head & Shoulders Combined shampoo and conditioner for the past year, but I have to admit it hasn't helped the itching much, and I had begun getting little blisters in places on my scalp (which made me think the sebum overgrowth had turned into something like eczema). So I've gone back to T-Fal. Together with my new scalp brush, I think things are bound to get better finally.

Durable enough that bristles aren't bending, but also not ergonomic in the hand. Exerting outward pressure with the fingers to hold and control this is no comfortable. I have relatively small hands, but my pinky does not fit, so I am reliant on the relatively weak ring finger. This feels like it would be less comfortable the larger your hands are, and even with small hands it is not pleasant.
