I have purchased 4 of these in the past 6 years.....
Generally these Chinese red dots come and go within a few months yet this CV Life shrouded reflex site is still being sold and the price has increased a dollar or two a year now for 6 or so years.... Why? Because they keep getting purchased. Out of the 4 of the ones I have purchased only one stopped working..... It came with a quick release mount that stopped holding tight after a short while, the unit itself still worked fine otherwise. Then I made my own mounting system for it and over tightened it and somehow the unit finally stopped working correctly ( meaning the dot would not always turn on). So two days ago I want to see how tough the lens was....... I repeatedly dropped the unit from shoulder height onto solid concrete right on the shroud holding the lens a dozen or so times and it never so much as cracked the lens or moved it. Then I threw it hard against my basement wall and it took 4 of my hardest throws to crack the lens. Bottom line is that these things are tough as nails, hold a zero, have awesome dot pattern choices in both red or green, super bright and sit just at the right height on an AR to be comfy to use. Yeah they are not going to get looks of approval from others because they are an amazon bargain brand, but if you want a reflex sight that is cheap AF and as a high probability of working ( at least 75% in my experience) perfectly and that holds a zero under use..... This is the one.

Fantastic performance at great price!
I almost never write product reviews, but after trying this red dot out on my AK-47 I was blown away by the quality of this product for such a low price, I felt compelled to share. After my SWAT buddy helped me sight this optic in at 50 and 100 yards (which can easily be done without an expert) we went to the long range and this $30 optic on a $550 gun was hitting the target 90% of the time at 300 yards, and to my buddy’s frustration easily outperformed his $1000 AR-15 with a $1000 reflex sight.I love the ability the change between 4 different reticles, between red or green, and between ~5 different brightness settings. All adjustsment on this optic are very easy and can be done in seconds.I will update review once I’ve put 500-1000 rounds through my rifle to give some insight on its durability. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied and will probably never spend much more than this on an optic.

Not bad for the money
For the money you can't really complain too much. I bought this for my PCC build to make sure everything was right with the gun before buying a good quality optic for competition. The good things are that this sight is light and relatively small. You can use this as an offset sight for close targets or a primary if you want. The different dot options are nice and daylight bright. Held zero through a few boxes of ammo. The problem I ran into was adjusting the elevation, there is no real "click" when turning the adjustment screw. You start turning and then it kinda jumps instead of being a smooth gradual movement. Like I said, you can't complain too much for the price.

2.5-3 stars - too blurry, but well built in all other areas.
Product was beautiful out of the box. Easy to install. Brightness was great. Looked and felt sturdy/robust and well built. Then I turned it on and it was blurry, like really blurry. As if there was a grease smear on the reflex mirror. Multiple reticles on top of each other. Had 4 people look through it to make sure it was just me. Everyone said the same thing, “Too blurry.” I don’t have an astigmatism so that wasn’t the issue either. That being said, CVLIFE’s customer service is awesome. Offered a refund and apologized.I read the reviews and have seen a few people mention their sights were blurry, but not enough to really concern me about the quality of the product. My advice, for the price give it a shot. If it doesn’t work, contact CVLIFE’s Customer Service and they will make it right. Nothing to lose except some time.

It's a great holographic sight. Looks good too with sloped sides.
Operation is likable. Red adj. Is separated from green adj. 8 stages, I think, of brightness adjustment. As far as user experience, the sight has many brightness increments (8) and projects well. Hex screws stay in place once set, but use loctite either way. 4 or 5 different hologram design options let's you customize your experience visually. All work well. Very happy altogether.

Not bright enough in Sunlight
First time, used it at an indoor range, it was fine. Just used it again outdoor full sun and it was barely visible adjusted to full brightness. Even for the cheap price I would expect it to be visible outdoors in the sun. Also nitpicking, but it shouldn't start at the dimmest setting and you have to push the button 9 times to turn it up.
