New. I love books! Have seen his work referenced many times in other literature. I had to have my own copy!

Great for staying spiritually fit!!

The preface and introduction to this copy are from The Swiss Family Robinson. Also, the text is quite small and cramped.

The language in this book is sort of hard to grasp for me to be honest, but that made me put a lot of care into interpreting the meaning of each sentence, so it was a very arduous and fulfilling reading experience.I enjoyed how methodical the lectures are. In the first chapter WJ makes a comparison to dissection in the study of physiology and u would say it’s pretty apt for what he’s trying to do.4/5 because the texture of the cover causes it to accumulate dust and grime very easily.

This edition omits key "Content" info that the real "American Library" expensive edition of James' writings contains.James' material is too worthy of appreciation to read it in this cheap, omitted "Contents", omitted citations, just the text.I tossed this once I got the American Library high quality properly indexed, contents noted, and notations noted, edition, which is 20 bucks more, but James' content is so worthy, get the good edition of it.

And i have good eyesight. Very difficult to read

I started reading this book and was astonished at the contents of the Preface and Introduction, which did not seem to relate to this book at all.I decided to put some of the text into Google. In both cases the text showed up as coming from the classic The Swiss Family Robinson !This is very sloppy work by the publisher. How they could let the book go on sale like this is incredible.I returned the book for refund.
