Great for 2026 Tesla
Pairs directly with 2026 Tesla Model Y Juniper. No adapters or other setup required. Works in all games Note that you need to use the actual Pair button on the top of the controller. don't just pair it after turning it on. Most bluetooth controllers use "Bluetooth Low Energy" but this one supports "Bluetooth Classic" which is what you need for the Tesla. Learned this the hard way after several other bluetooth controllers failed to pair. Quality is surprisingly good for the price, triggers feel nice, analog sticks are decent, the analog stick push buttons are a bit mushy. Charges with regular USB-C (some cheap controllers only charge with an A to C cable). Nice compact size. Ergonomically I wouldn't recommend it for long gaming sessions but we bought this for short gaming sessions in the car, or kids playing games in the back, and it serves that purpose perfectly.

I found a way to make analog triggers work on Windows
(I'm Japanese and using DeepL Translate, so apologies if my English is weird) I was looking for a controller that was small, took up little space, and could enable analog input with L2R2. I purchased this product because we thought it would be the smallest product available on the premise that an analog trigger could be used. I imported it from Amazon.com because it was not already sold in Japan (Amazon.co.jp). I was having trouble enabling analog triggering with this controller by itself, but I discovered that it can be enabled by using "8BitDo USB Wireless Adapter 2" (hereinafter referred to as "DONGLE") and firmware version 2.03β*. * The message in the video that appears when searching for "8Bitdo SN30 Xbox Android RT LT Problem FIX" is used. Finally, I was able to rocket start the car with the Model 2 Emulator Daytona USA (the accelerator must be input in analog. adjust engine RPM from 6 to 7). As an unexpected added value, I thought it was good that this product can be used on any PC by simply replacing the DONGLE. It is true that there were a few trade-offs with the smaller size that I was concerned about and not happy about, but the ability to do that thing alone was worth the purchase for me, and I am mostly happy with it. That's why I gave it 5 stars. The advantages and disadvantages can be summarized as follows. Advantages: 1. Small size saves space in your bag 2. Enables analog triggering on Android and Windows at least (physically impossible with regular SN30?) 3. When using the DONGLE, Xinput can be enabled without running third-party software such as X360ce 4. Simply replace the DONGLE with another PC and you can use it, no need to re-pair between PCs (Switch is one of the DONGLE's compatible devices, but I have not tested it, so it may not work). 5. The product is already certified (201-200623), so using it in Japan will probably not be a problem. Disadvantages: 1. Windows requires superfluous thing (DONGLE) to enable analog trigger input. 2. No vibration (this is a trade-off with the small size and light weight that must be tolerated) 3. No grip, and to be honest, analog triggers are hard to press. (This can't be helped as we are aiming for a smaller size. We have to tolerate the same and get used to it) 4. The analog trigger cannot be enabled in the standard way. The fact that we had to devise a way to do this using a questionable beta firmware is in itself unsatisfactory. 5. Some software may not recognize analog triggers (may need to revert firmware to 2.02 again). 6. Controller power off needs to be pressed and held for about 7 seconds (after removing the DONGLE, it turns off automatically after a certain period of time, but this is a little inconvenient compared to, for example, DS4Windows, which has a function to turn it off in an instant when exiting the software). 7. Android users need to unpair the DONGLE once and then re-pair it (the DONGLE itself is not fully compatible with Android). 8. Possible durability issues (from what I've seen in other reviews)

My New Go-To Controller for TV Gaming! Absolutely Fantastic!
Seriously, I can't recommend this little 8BitDo controller enough! I recently picked it up because I wanted something compact and wireless for playing TV games without the bulk of a full-sized controller, and this thing has completely blown me away. First off, the quality is top-notch. Despite its small size, it feels incredibly well-built and sturdy, not cheap or flimsy at all. The buttons have a satisfying click, the D-pad is precise, and the joysticks feel smooth and accurate. It definitely has that premium 8BitDo feel, which I appreciate. The Grip is surprisingly good. I have average-sized hands, and even though it's a smaller controller, it sits comfortably. It’s perfect for casual gaming sessions on the couch or for quick pick-up-and-play moments. My kids love using it too because it fits their smaller hands perfectly. It's lightweight, so you can game for ages without any hand fatigue. What truly impressed me is the Responsiveness. Being a Bluetooth controller, I was a little worried about input lag, but there's absolutely none that I can perceive. Whether I'm hitting precise jumps in a platformer or executing quick combos in a fighting game, every input registers instantly. Connecting it to my TV setup was a breeze, and it’s been rock-solid ever since. If you're looking for a compact, high-quality Bluetooth controller that doesn't compromise on grip or responsiveness for your TV games, do yourself a favor and grab this one. It's quickly become my favorite!

Buy a “non” Xbox controller instead
I had to update my rating from 5 stars down to 2. Firstly this is a great controller. However, it just cannot be used with enough devices. Therefore, I wish that I hadnt bought it. I bought this to use with my iPhone. When I bought a Steam Deck. I was pleasantly surprised that the controller worked. Then I bought a Legion Go. I was unpleasantly surprised to discover that it would not work with a Windows handheld other than via Steam (or a dongle). That is just not acceptable. If I had the choice again, I wouldn’t buy this product. The other 8BitDo SN30 controllers worked with all of the mentioned platforms plus Switch. The only downside is that those controllers have digital triggers. That forced me to buy new controllers and ultimately made these a waste of money.

Works in a 2022 Tesla M3 using the 8bitdo V2 USB wireless adapter
Using the Xbox SN30 with the 8bitdo USB V2 wireless adapter in the Tesla works flawlessly. However, when using the Xbox SN30 in the Tesla with a wired connection, the joystick mapping is a little wonky. (V2 USB wireless adapter is sold separately FYI) After plugging in the adapter and pairing the controller, you need change the mode of the adapter before the car will recognize it. You do this by holding the black center/left button and Right (or Down) on the directional pad for a few seconds (I can't remember if right or down worked for me). The adapter will blink, and everything should work correctly. You can find these instructions in the manual for the USB V2 adapter on the 8bitdo website. I charge the remote using a cheap USB cable that doesn't have the data wires (charging only). This allows me to play while charging (and maintain correct joystick mapping) by remaining connected to the adapter wirelessly. Your car may not have data connections in the center console, so you may need to use the glovebox for the wireless adapter. I used the USB module from TParts to make my center console USB-C ports work with data. IMO this is a great controller for the Tesla because of it's size. Its very small, but still high quality. Doesn't take up too much room in the glovebox.

Works on PC but needs additional software
The size is perfect for portable use, I can connect it to my Surface Pro wirelessly and use it on games like Final Fantasy XIV Online. It's small but it's not troublesome for me to use the buttons. The issue is that it's not just plug-and-play to be able to use it for the PC. It requires you to download their "8BitDo Ultimate Software" for this specific controller, and even then there are two buttons that didn't work - for me the worst was the "A" button ("confirm" for most games). Ultimately what I did to make it work was to use the software "x360ce Controller Emulator" and mapped regular Xbox controller buttons to the buttons on this controller, then told the game (Final Fantasy XIV Online) to use the controller emulator instead of the 8BitDo controller. Haven't tried it on Android - like it was advertised - but I just wanted to let others know that it is possible for PC use, it just wasn't intuitive.

Controller that doesn't connect to XBOX devices !!!!!!!
It is ridiculous to advertise this controller on Xbox website, I do notice it is for mobile and not on xbox console. I do owned ROG Ally Xbox X, and looking for compact portable controller. I dive in xbox website, and found this 8bitdo Xbox. thinking with label "design for Xbox" would be nice to pair it with my handheld. fact is, it doesn't even connect to xbox handheld!!! what a shame!!! what is the use of "design for Xbox" label, while it cannot connect to any XBOX device!!! but the product itself is a very well build, well done 8bitdo

Reasonable price, connects instantaneously, amazing battery life, and bonus that it's so small that I can literally pocket it. Must have for sporadic gamers or travelers that just wanna get a quick balatro game in or something.

Great controller but *WARNING* Direct Input only
Lightweight and very compact. Feels great in the hand. Sticks and button travel are excellent. But be warned it only supports ancient Direct Input. This works with Android natively which makes sense because its advertised as a controller for Android. It also works in Windows/Steam as a Generic Controller after mapping the buttons. It doesn't work outside of Steam without hacks. It doesn't work on iPad or iPhone at all. That limitation doesn't bother me - I'm using Windows/Steam - but if you need a controller that works everywhere (without hacks) consider buying a different model that supports modern XInput.
